Play to the whistle, not the flag. I'm quite glad that one was given.

Pretty much impossible for footballers at the moment. Years of stopping when the flag goes up is not something they can just start doing. Right now it is a natural reaction to stop when they see a flag. Going to take a while for players to get that way of behaving out of their system

Would be better if all refs and assistants had a system they all use rather than this random stick to the old rules/let VAR decide / half and half that is currently used across different games.
