The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

Our old friend Jamie Reckord has had a mare in the last 20. Rotherham made a change and he just can't deal with this guy at all. Everything coming down his side.

4 goals in less than 15 minutes.

If you'd not seen the PL version of VAR in action you'd watch the Albion penalty and say bring it in straight away. That's what it should be used for, not the geometry shite we do get

Would you say that VAR being in operation largely rules out players even trying that in the PL now? As they know they'll obviously get caught out on review so they don't chance their arm, you'll only get booked. Remember Almiron getting done early on, other than it doesn't seem to happen.

A sort of hidden positive if you like. (Yes, I have a load of straws and I'm clutching at them)

My S/T will be available for this if it happens - not spending that much or travelling that far for a complete lockdown of the town!

Tbf I don't remember it being that bad in either 2011 or 2012 (if we ignore the result in the latter game). The utter wankshaft* who was in charge of WMP match operations around 2006/7 is long gone - he genuinely did have pubs shut down across the board, stupid routes in place - and while the policing is obviously ramped up compared to when you play say, Bournemouth, I don't think you'd notice that much difference to any other game. A ballache for away fans as they will just get told you go this way, you have no other option, but that's not my problem.

*I met him once at the FP and he was truly appalling. Nothing but contempt for fans and any kind of reasonable objections or solutions. His strategies were bloody awful too, made no logistical sense at all.

That's not something I'd considered to be fair, but there may be something in it. Deuefalu did at Chelsea in the week that VAR was told to overturn decisions, but I suppose there was some contact

Brazil this morning describes the penalty decision as an 'absolute joke' (correct) but then goes on to say: "I thought VAR was meant to clear these things up"

Constantly freezing already on Amazon's streaming debut and we're only on the build up.

Absolutely shit.

I know this is always an annoying response, but it’s working fine for me. Android TV app via wired connection fwiw.

Wired Samsung TV using the inbuilt Prime Video app is absolutely fine.

Same here so far, wired (homeplugs) to the TV. Just loaded the UHD stream fine on my LG app.

It's not even proper HD bitrate though, never mind UHD.

Unwatchable this. SEVEN restarts before kick off. It lasted about 10 mins at best.

Awful stuff.

I watch BT through Chromecast all the time and never a problem.

Coverage is absolutely fine for me so far. Mind you I have Amazon Prime straight through Virgin and the X-Box so maybe that is more stable.

In terms of picture quality, it looks like standard HD on my telly. Nothing more than that, but that is the telly at fault as it doesn't have further capability. Looks clean, very smooth.

It seems one of the sets of fans have nicked Nuno had a dream. I feel as violated as your average scouser when he hears us sing Si Senor...

Leicester sing that too (Vichai had a dream) nowadays.
