Watching Barnsley v Bristol City which is as dreadful as you'd expect. Bristol winning 2-0 and will go second as a result, the league this season is absolutely awful as City are totally dire (scored from 2 set pieces).

It doesn't even look offside to me. The lines seem not quite right. You're relying on the human operator to get those exactly right which can't be guaranteed. I don't understand why they can't say if the system says the goal is less than X amount of inches offside then it stands because of incalculable margin of error in such a system. 3 inches would seem fair. There's no way VAR can guarantee that the ball is exactly released at the correct millisecond or the lines are done 100% correctly by the operator.

That's a joke of a decision. VAR should not be there to decide if somebody is millimetres offside. I really hope they scrap it next season.
