Lens didn't want to sell 4 weeks ago though and for once, we moved onto another target and got him.


Player pushed for the move and got his way this week and Spurs became desperate this week as well, Danso is about the 5th defender they have approached

Probably because Lens kept changing their demands. And the player kept stalling hoping for something better to come along. Fuck that sort of attitude, Spurs can have him.

Spurs move is a permanent one. Deal worth €25m in total ,(sounds like a similar amount we offered earlier this week with €21m + extras but Lens rejected wanting a loan deal)

Seems very obvious this was all player/agent led and he was insisting on a loan to us rather than being stuck here permanently, stalling until someone better came along.

We offered the same deal as Spurs days ago. If the player wanted to come he would have been signed already.

We're in a desperate situation. I don't think Agba or Toti are amazing but you saw today how much of a difference having them made. We're one injury/suspension away from Beuno & Doherty at the back again.

They have an asking price. We wouldn’t meet it. Persona terms were agreed weeks ago (suggest she was happy with the move ). They’ve finally caved as the player wants out. Spurs, a more attractive option have got involved because their CB got injured 2 days ago.

So the only conclusion to draw from that is that if you fuck around with a transfer you leave yourselves open to these events.

Spurs were after a defender before this week and were getting nowhere....just stepped it up due to another injury. Danso was somewhat down their list though and were turned down by 2 yesterday.

From the previous reports we have offered what Spurs are paying. Lens and/or the player only wanted a loan deal with us. Juventus wanted a loan with an option but that was rejected.

For me on this one, we haven't done much wrong but what happens between now and Monday night will show if we have been doing things to protect ourselves against a situation like this....and that is where I have very little confidence
