Obviously still in the doghouse with Cunha.
Even Alex Crook knew before him and he, literally, knows fuck all.
Well if we're halfway competent
I can see the issue straight awayWell if we're halfway competent
Deal wasn’t done then was it?
He obviously means, fee agreed and player happy and everything on track. Probably already booked his flight to Brum as well.Deal wasn’t done then was it?
Yeah I hate the use of the term 'done deal' when it erm, isn't.Deal wasn’t done then was it?
A degree of sympathy on this one. Our number 1 target and at the start of the window we got told no so went to Agbadou. We’ve clearly wasted a large % of this transfer window on Danso and we have ended up missing out on him. Going to be difficult getting something done this late now and whoever we go for will know they weren’t a top target for us.
Poor situation with a day or two left.
Meh….I’m going to go and watch a re-run of the bellegarde masterclass. Do the same mate, you know you want to.We’ve clearly wasted a large % of this transfer window on Danso and we have ended up missing out on him. I think Lens play a part in this though. They seemingly changed their stance numerous times, - not for sale, £30m or do one, loan with an obligation, loan with an option, just a loanObviously any deal can get hijacked and I can see the appeal of Spurs over us and we don't really knows what going on. All that said if we'd got the deal over the line a week ago then it would have neem less likely to be hijacked by Spurs who at that point had other targets
Mr 3 names I thinkWeren't we linked with another CB from Udinese?
Disagree. The likelihood of getting hijacked increases with the time you take to do a deal and the modest nature of your bid. That’s fine - it’s a strategy - but there’s no sympathy when the foreseeable downside materialises.A degree of sympathy on this one. Got the nod last week he wants to leave. Couple of bids and then matched what Lens wanted...then done over by a late late bid by Spurs.
Sympathy ends if we now sit there saying "right, who next?" Should be down the road on secondary targets...but we won't be
You mean apart from the fact we did, and he was coming to us. But the player changed his mind.It was us and Lens who couldn’t agree a deal.
Only been talks with Lens for the last week around a deal they like and they controlled the narrative on that and probably bounced us, Rennes and Juve off each other.Disagree.
