The January 2025 Transfer Thread

Moved on from trying...

Guo had a suitcase of cash with him on Saturday

I thought he'd already told us to do one?
Lens had i think. They only wanted to sell 1 defender in this window....clearly Hobbs* has stepped in and sorted the situation out

*Jorge, we all know in someway it's Jorge unless the deal fails then it's back to fuck you Hobbs.

Wolves supposedly scouted Auxerre's Clement Akpa? Presumably Hoever will put in a good word...

Yeah the manager had to come out and say he twisted his knee in training and that he definitely wasn't trying to force a move.

He had a €25m move to Roma fall through last summer because of Italian rules around heart conditions:

Lens defender Kevin Danso, who arrived in Rome on Wednesday ahead of a €25 million permanent transfer, failed his medical examination earlier today. During a routine cardiovascular MRI, Danso was reportedly diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat, a condition that precludes him from playing in Italy. In essence, Danso passed Roma's medical requirements, but he cannot play in Serie A due to broader Italian statutes.

Hopefully his heart stands up to playing next to Matt Doherty.

So, shall we start a prediction comp.

When will this deal fall through?

I say January 29th at 5.43pm

Obviously we have (poor) form with this stuff but at least it's Percy suggesting it not Romano 'agent price inflator'.
I need some sort of hope.
