The January 2025 Transfer Thread

Hes not injured. I don't know how anyone could turn their nose up when Hwang is about to be our starting centre forward for an undetermined period of time. He'll have better options and choose one even in the unlikely event we are interested.

I mean seriously what have we got to lose by bringing him on loan? At least he looks like a footballer when he plays at least.

His old boss wants him over in France.
Can see him making that move

If JSL is out for any prolonged period we will be utterly screwed.
Hwang’s performance after the sub was a concern. It was the obvious change to make, but offered no comfort even for a stop gap measure. The alternatives look even more troubling.

Obviously we’ve arrived at a position where you wouldn’t fancy us to sign anyone decent, but it shouldn’t be that way. Despite the league position players would still move to a club with the abstract credentials we have, it’s the things particular to us that make it seem like four dimensional chess simply to get basic players in.

I think we'd have a chance for Ferguson.

Brighton won't loan him to a rival for Europe. So there's probably West Ham and Everton more attractive, realistic options in the Premier League. But those are both big, ambitious clubs who will expect to compete with Brighton next season. If he did well there, I'd be concerned if I was Brighton that you could be left in a situation where they want to sign him in the summer and he wants to leave.

I'm also not totally convinced on him, but obviously better than what we have.

We are only monitoring his availability though so not happening.

All that will happen is he will move somewhere else and during a meeting on Feb 4th it will be noted in the minutes

*Alex O-C was available. Matt Hobbs was correct. Raised that maybe we should have maybe tried to sign him. Jeff laughed for 5 minutes.

He's supposedly one of the best CBs in Ligue 1 this season. Would be a welcome addition based on me knowing nothing about him other than he looks another massive unit.

£1m out...

Not a Wolves thing but football clubs do this all the time.

Man Utd currently fucking around with the LWB from Lecce. Been told the fee required to get him...currently in with their 3rd bid.
I initially thought that but it could just be the conversion from Euros. €20m is currently about £16.8m so it could get reported either way.

Most likely is it a €20m bid.
