The January 2025 Transfer Thread

Of course. I don't think that explains all of it, however.
Pretty confident that had Agbadou not been playing yesterday we’d have lost by more. He’s the least of our problems at the back.

Clearly not making my point well enough.

Defenses are a unit, it's not always as simple as just chucking together the 2/3 "most talented" guys. Is Agbadou a problem? No, certainly not relatively. But is he part of a solution? Remains to be seen.

Bueno has only turned to shit since Toti was injured and Doc came in alongside him IMO. Before that he was our best defender, albeit not a high bar.

I think if you get two half decent and steady people either side of him he's fine.

There’s nothing to suggest he can’t be part of a decent defence, there’s a huge amount of evidence to suggest Doherty and Bueno can’t. Obviously a good defence is better than the sum of its parts but you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Prime VVD and Ferdinand would be dragged down playing alongside either of that pair.

His positioning is all over the place just now. Some of that is to be expected given he's brand new, but it's something to watch, and it's definitely not "nothing".

If your CBs can't trust where each other are going to be in a given situation, well...

He’s nowhere near good enough. He doesn’t read the game well. He can’t jump, can’t turn, loses nearly every headed duel. His passing is safe and slow. He’s weak, slow and because of all this he’s awful in the opposition box as well from attacking set pieces.

If you wanted a centre back for the premier league he’s genuinely the opposite of what you would want

Away with such reason! I’m all in. Yesterday he wiped someone out just by standing still and he’s exactly the kind of brick shthouse I’ve been hoping for. I need another alleged ball playing centre back like Bolivia need a navy.
Apropos of nothing, know a guy who drank with the Bolivian navy whilst he was on holiday. Given how hammered they all were, was surprised Peru didn't make the most of the opportunity.

While you were at the Copacabana Did you meet Lola she was a dancer, wore yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there, she would merengue and do the cha cha ?

I went to the Copacobana in Manchester.
None of that shit happened there.

We are getting close to me even being happy to see us sign anyone. The Dog that lives at the Arsenal training ground, the Swansea Swan mascot, Leon Clarke out of retirement.

Those are in ability order btw.

Now don't be silly

I think u guys need leave of 5-4-1 and play 4-5-1 or 4-3-3

RAN out, Lemina in to DMF, and Rodrigo on Right Wing.

For all his problems RAN is still the biggest chance creator we have outside of Cunha. Another manager he's not handled being coached under.
