The January 2025 Transfer Thread

Fucking hell, this has turned into a worse thread than the 'pumped' one.

Can you imagine a back three of Mosquera/Agbadou/Meupiyou next season?

Three pacey units all over 6 foot tall.

Doesn't make it player driven.

Could easily have been told by Vitor that he's not in his plans, so he's accepted the offer.
I think that Lemina has earned a bit of mutual respect, especially if he’s not in VP’s first team plans for the future and the rumours about Gerson has any legs which frees up funds and overseas player space.

Ultimately Lemina deserves a chance of a last big pay day in Saudi which Wolves contacts can influence.

He has been a good signing and servant for me but it’s Win Win all round.

Lemina was an unspectacular signing for me at the time we made him, that I went on to love. Some of his behaviour this year has been odd but still a player I wouldn't actively try and move on, but if this is what he wants then I support it for him.

Like others this does cause me some concerns with the depth and what happens with injuries and suspensions.

Not a lot we can do if he genuinely wants to leave, but like many times before with leaving ourselves short, I'm sure this will come back to bite us on the arse.

In a nutshell imo.
If (as seems probable) Lemina is pushing for it, then it makes sense to let him go, just hope it doesn't bite us in the arse.

If Lemina does leave then hopefully we can get Gerson from Flamengo. Another leader in his club, he's recently broken into the Brazil national team. He seems very versatile too, good in both defence and attack and can play on the right or centrally in a number of roles.

Spurs signing Slavia Prague GK Antonin Kinsky so definitely ends any lingering prospect of SJ moving there
