Same as MGW, we can’t really be turning down that amount for a player who has proven very little in the Prem (although honestly I like what I’ve seen from Fab in his appearances than I did MGW).

I would actually. I'd back any half decent striker to score 10 over a season. We haven't even had a regular out and out striker since Jimenez got injured, and our top scorers since then have been wingers/midfielders with no more than 6.

Iheanacho has only ever topped 10 league goals in his career once, I don't rate him at all but he's better than what Fabio is now and has broadly speaking played in teams that attack way more than we do.

I don't think he'd get near.

b) Getting 10 in this league isn't necessarily straightforward (Ings is a miles better finisher than Fabio, he hasn't done it in either of the last two seasons)

As you keep saying. But that means we never sign anyone, ever, and stick with a squad that has been shit for years. I don't want that either.

This is the main point for me. If he was keen to come back and JL fancied him it would be a no brainer to at least give him a go. I don't necessarily believe all the Internet bollocks about him wanting out but half the fans already think he's a petulant little twat based on twitter, so unless he hit the ground running he'd be a massive target for the numpties.

Well I think we should be keeping Fabio AND signing a 20mill ish striker.

Then we have new striker, Fabio and Sasa fighting it out between the 3 of them.

We sell Fabio we need two strikers and we'll be in a similar hole financially.

Well yeah, but that's what he is. I don't think he's ever been renowned for doing what you ask? If we wanted a training ground coach then we should have got one.

I haven't got a problem with relying on recruitment providing it's a) done properly and b) is done in a non-Redknapp way, ie it doesn't screw up the finances and he blames the board for letting him spend.

Plus some of these players are beyond help. He isn't improving Kilman or Hwang, they're shit.

Cunha doesn't look great value for money so far (but might be better to judge him when he has someone to pass to other than 88 year old Diego or the Ghost of Raul).

He still looks a thousand times more suited to the Premier League than Fabio Silva does.

See, my impression was that he's quite hands-on but maybe that's just because of the videos the club puts out and his activity on the touchline.

Either way he has an impressive reputation and superb track record and we have what look to be some potential gems in Bueno, Collins, Gomes, Matheus etc. Add value man, you're meant to be one of the best.
