Lopetegui reportedly works 8am to 9pm 6 days a week at the training ground and has shown more tactical flexibility than any Wolves coach I've ever known.

I'm not sure how he's supposed to 'do more coaching' or whatever was said earlier.

You're taking it literally.

I'm saying that I would expect/hope he'd improve our existing players that have potential, not just write them off and sell them with the idea of getting in "ready made" players instead.

What if he's watched them and thinks they aren't ever going to be good enough? I'd be inclined to agree with him to be honest.

Do you make him keep them, then they stay exactly what they are, we stay being a fairly shit team and our window for selling them for a good fee gets significantly smaller? Or back the manager that by rights, should have been looking for a better job than rock bottom of the Premier League and who you've convinced to stay.

Once Neves goes he's our biggest asset by a mile.

If we are buying players at the discount prices of £8m-£15m and he is happy with it then he isn't expecting ready made players.

The only things he has said inc only wanting players that want to be here...potentially rules put Fab. He has also mentioned targeting players from the Championship.

The thing is, he's probably already assessed them and if they're up for sale, doesn't think they've got it in them.

Maybe he has evaluated them and doesn't think they have potential.

you can't polish a turd, as they say

Part of being a good coach is identifying the players you can and can't get through to.

There is always that, yep. I just think Collins is worth keeping if it's choice between him and Kilman.

Podence, RAN, Adama, Hwang can all jog on

He's clearly doing what he thinks is right for the club, but then so did Shi when he signed off on Cunha and Fabio.

I think Lop should be working with the likes of Kilman, Sa, Fabio and Collins and trying to improve their consistency, they have had some good games, some more than others.

But then again maybe he is?

You don't think he should because you have long decided these players are either shit or really shit.

And you'd be happy for us to sell about 10 of our players and get 5 or 6 in. But i don't think that's a good idea personally, it's too much at once.

Well there it is, we fundamentally disagree.

We have been a mostly terrible team for three years, at least from an entertainment perspective. I don't want to watch these players any more, they're no good for where we want to be (and what we charge to watch us). You'd carry on as we are, broadly speaking, because it's too risky otherwise. Whereas I would say oh no, we might be shit again. We've been shit anyway.

We did more business in January than we have EVER done previously, how did that upheaval work out?

Would say he does want to work with Kilman and Collins. Hence we have turned down 1 bid for Collins and made it clear it needs to be £30m to take Kilman.

Sa - Strong rumours it's his, well his families, decision to try and leave

Fab - making enough noises to suggest he wants out. If we have put a price on his head that is because we feel he doesn't want to come back. Could work out he returns, will be a late arrival to pre season anyway and clicks with Lopetegui but its currently doubtful.

I guess ultimately it all depends on what Fosun expect from us.

I think they're happy for us to be a mid table club, and to keep that status quo they probably don't need to do a great deal this summer, just buying a striker who can score 10 goals would probably be a enough?

It's a bit like Brexit, I voted remain because I was scared of the consequences.

You would currently vote leave because you want to roll the dice as you are bored by it all :)

Actually I think those who supported the appointment of Lage were your Leave voters. Because you're jumping off a cliff and the guy standing at the bottom appears to be a fucking idiot unqualified to hold a net, but you'll trust him anyway :D

I'm trusting in our Europa League winning manager. If he decided that actually Fabio was the man for us and we should keep him at all costs then fair enough. Doesn't seem he does think that though.

We create absolutely fuck all, who is this magician who can create 10 goals for himself and also costs less than 15m quid?

The squad needs help all over the shop, it is what it is.

I guess I also wonder if we are actually that bad.

Our form under Lop was top half, so the "we've been shit for 3 seasons" whilst true was largely down to Lage.

Lop is an elite manager, does he need to tear it up and start again as a hell of a lot of Wolves fans are saying? Or just manage his current squad get more goals out of us and stop the brainfarts and we're a top 10 team?

In contradiction of all that I'm not convinced that a midfield trio of Lemina, Traore and Gomes are experienced and robust enough to be good enough over a whole season.

Moutinho and Neves leaving are huge, yet midfield doesn't seem to be an area that there's a lot of concern about.

We're terrible away from home and our opening fixtures don't allow for that to continue!

He's done well so far but we need to continue on an upward curve. I don't think we do that without doing some serious remedial work on the squad. We absolutely need a keeper, a centre half and a striker, that's 3/4s of your traditional spine. Plenty to do.

By the fans? Probably not as we have been linked with a fair few midfielders and the links are met with "sign a forward ffs"

Yeah I did mean by the fans, "they" seem content with our midfield, on here too.

I'm not feeling the hype around Gomes in quite the same way, and Bouba played so few games, it's hard to say.
