Don't know why you think that about Kudus, he's nothing like Adama.

Anyway:
Mavropanos or Bueno
Alvarez or Doyle
JWP or Bellegarde
Gonzales or Kudus

I mean it's not hard to work out who has had the better window is it?

But I guess you're entitled to your opinion and I said sensational compared to ours.

Because whenever I've seen him play he's a headless chicken. Does 1 good thing and 3 things that make you wonder how he's ever played above pub level.

I couldn't answer your questions, only to say I wouldn't really want Alvarez or Kudus here, especially for the money paid.

Alvarez is quite good isn't he? I haven't seen too much of him but always heard good things?

We've lost Neves wanted to keep, Nunes, Moutinho, Raul, Adama, Collins and Costa

We've gained Doyle, Enso, Bueno, Doherty and Bellegarde. And shit load of money, but we won't get any points for that.

Yes, all of the outgoings were inevitable in one way or another, barring Collins which I don't object to. Yes, we've got some good money for them too.

But we've chosen - a choice - to replace a lot of players with international pedigree with gambles on inexperienced players. A choice that also cost us an excellent manager.

We've had the cash and the FFP wiggle room to spend more on better quality players. I'm not going to judge a transfer window on a set of financial constraints that are entirely voluntary.

We wanted to keep Neves.
Nunes unlike but he was hardly consistent
Mouthinho was fucked legs gone not good enough now sorry to see him like that
Raul fucked not good enough
Adam fantastic but no end product
Collins never really hit the heights
Costa not good enough

Doherty better going forward than Semedo, shit defensively
Doyle great prospect, young has something to prove
Enso young good prospect, maybe won't start many, but decent option of the bench
Bueno, good reports but Whon knows how it will go, our last few young transfers have been good
Bellegarde don't know how it will turn out

That's only if you move the Cunha and Traore deals into this year. In which case the losses from last year are hugely exaggerated by the club.
They are in this year's accounts because the signed permanent contracts this year

What areas are we stronger than last season?
GK? No - Same
LB? No - Same
CB? No - Same
RB? No - i would argue yes, given how Jonnie played (or rather did not play last season)
CM? No - No
AM? No - Same
CF? Probably - yes
Makes us about level

I just don't get that at all.

Looks like you've made your mind up and I think your completely wrong.

He's a very good player. Played well last night and by all accounts against Brighton.

It's based on what I've seen of him for Ajax and Ghana.

I've seen plenty of Alvarez to, hes a half decent DM. Not in the same league as Rice.

Nobody compared him to Rice. I did compare him to Doyle in the comparison of transfer dealing.

Are you telling me Doyle is a better acquisition than Alvarez?

Bold statement.

I'm comparing him to Rice because that's who he directly replaced. Doyle hasn't replaced anyone as he's 4th choice.

Perhaps shifting Nunes was the perfect piece of business then. Invest the cash in players who should improve, rinse and repeat.

I’m actually excited by Doyle, there’s a quality player there
Unlike many, I'm happy to see Nunes sold.

There's an argument that with a good season his value will soar by next summer...

However if he repeats the form he showed last season his value will diminish...

I'm actually quite surprised we made such a healthy profit given what was a lackluster season from him overall.

Neither am I convinced he'll be a success at City. Saying that, no one's better suited than Guardiola to get the best out of him.

No.

MLS has invested in a lot of players from the South American leagues in the last decade; by and large they are completely unprepared for the physicality of MLS and spend more time whining to the refs than contributing to play during their first seasons. They are used to referees giving fouls for even the slightest amount of contact.

Scouts that export from these leagues to Europe may simply only take the best.
Levels though innit? Players heading direct to Europe from South America are generally better than those moving to MLS (of course there are exceptions).

South American football is brutal and unforgiving.
