Cunha will be used there when needed. So pointless us moaning about it. Lopetegui classed him as a decent option there but he is now 3rd choice for that position which is OK.

Chemical Kenny back again 😅

Ah what's the point moaning about something that will happen. Its a bit old man shouts at a cloud territory.
Most of us don't think Cunha is a #9 but for some reason people actually paid to know what they are doing, do.
Same people rate Doc and Hodge. We are all either wrong or in the wrong jobs

Cunha may not be a "striker" in the traditional sense, but he's an attacking player who gets high up the pitch in central areas and offers tight interplay. It's not hard to see how/why he might get played in that furthest forward role.

We just really need him to get a goal; find his confidence in the opposition penalty area.

You mean like David Silva and Phil Foden?

Cunha's a much more physical presence than Silva or Foden, but I don't think he has the same magic in his boots when he dribbles and he's certainly not the passer Silva was. It's a weird comparison.

His names Liam keen, he 'writes'for the Express & Star and he usually only comes out with information about 12 hours after everyone already knew about it.

Ninja'd by fucking Hodor. The shame.
Lol, that was dire…

You made the comparison that attacking players who are capable of tight interplay could play as a front man. I've just proved that they're not.

He's generally anywhere but upfront when he's meant to be playing there leaving a gaping chasm which none of our players seem capable of running into.

He 'could' play as a false 9 but we'd need to sign players in the Salah & Mane ilk.

He also seems to do a lot of his best work picking the ball up around midfield.
