The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

Bellegarde seems like a decent Nunes replacement to me. If we manage to get another striker over the line, I'm fairly comfortable with our business over the last few days (with the proviso that we've been left scrambling after a summer of ludicrous mismanagement).
It’s almost going to have potentially turned into a decent window in a roundabout way. Like literally by accident. Shambolically done

PTS is guessing/presuming we will trust Fabs, Sasa and Cunha now the Adams deal is off.

He also said Jonny could still leave then Liam tweeted he is staying, so maintaining his standards at least

No chance of Iheanacho then instead of Adams?

Fucking brilliant Jonny. At long last a player to be fucking proud of.
Really chuffed, he could turn into my favourite ever player.
Dunno if he can get anything like his old form back but 80% old Jonny would still be the best fb at the club.

I'm pleased the Adams move has fallen through, he's not very good and it's just another body in the squad, we only play one central striker and he's not better than we've got already. It would have been pointless.

Didn't we play two strikers in our last game?

I think sometimes we've not always played a single striker necessarily by design, and I'd certainly like another option due to Sasa's injury record, as I think Fabio being suitable is still some way off, if it's ever going to be the case at all

We've got 2 strikers. Silva doesn't fit the profile as a lone frontman at least right now. If Sasa gets injured we look bare.

Definitely in the top 3 with George Ndah and Neves for me. At his peak there weren't many pure defenders than Jonny, a world class equivalent of Kevin Foley.

Yes to give some players that needed to play minutes against a league one team. I doubt we are going to play with 2 central strikers in the league. I'd rather have Cunha as the 3rd striker than have a Championship level player there just to get a body in. Adams is crap for this level, his goal record is rubbish.

Jonny is/was what happens when you combine Foley with Doherty tbh. Probably a better footballer than both.

Rubbish is better than practically non-existent, which is what most of our strikers and forwards have had to offer for years now.

Not saying Adams or Iheanacho etc are top choices in an ideal world, but we do constantly turn our nose up on here at decent PL players who might actually do an OK job for us a la Dawson and Lemina.

I'm all for ambition, but also it's yet another window closing with no striking option brought in.

To me, Fabio and Cunha aren't goalscorers, I'm sorry. So all eggs in the basket of the guy returning from a 12 month layoff
