The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

Could well have asked and Palmer and McAtee aren’t interested. Hard to imagine that if Doyle has been discussed the others haven’t.
If it's only Doyle it should be nominal as that's just doing City a favour as he's never going to make it there.

Harwood-Bellis is the one I'd want alongside Doyle
It worries me that Burnley don't seem interested after last season and those that have been rumoured as in for him are Championship clubs like Leicester and Leeds

Just because he isn’t considered good enough for City doesn’t make him worth a nominal sum. Kilman isn’t good enough for City but we were still offered £30m for him.

Even if we did 'make' £20m profit out of it when we take out Sporting's cut (big if), we've had a player who's been unspectacular for us but still an integral part of the first XI, we now have to replace him in an already small squad and it's doubtful we'll see much of that £20m to do that.
10% of the profit isn't it?
When selling for £55m-£60m, the profit is £17m-£22m, so we're making at least £15m profit.
So yeah, it was a stupid deal and I don't see much success for anyone there except for Nunes and his agent
Theoretically, we'd then have that money to reinvest (I'll concede that's not clear with Fosun right now).

That's £15m profit for a player that hasn't impressed. If he could have gone for much more. It's a deal that didn't go as well as hoped and still paid dividends.

It's definitely not stupid.

I for one definitely believe this
Please let it be true. Wan Bissaka + cash. We'd be having United's pants down.

I realise Wan Bissaka isn't much of a threat going forward (he already has 50% of Semedo's assists for last season though), but the boy can defend.

I'd say the way Fosun have behaved all summer makes it crystal clear.

A stupid transfer and hopefully the last of its nature that we do

A stupid stupid transfer that yielded a 25% profit.

It hasn't yielded a thing yet.

And I'm a Wolves fan, not a Fosun accountant.

And we probably won't see that money anyway.

Other than that, a great transfer, truly up there with Neves

It was clear last summer he wanted to move to a bigger club than Wolves but he came anyway. His effort levels last season were acceptable but I think most of us would have happily taken our money back as there wasn’t much else most of the time. Clearly playing just two games under GO has added £15m to his value 😁😁
Fosun are geniuses, with GO Kilman's value is sky-rocketing. They should go back to Napoli and ask for €45M now.

Jokes aside Nunes isn't bad, it was always a weird signing for his career and positional fit, and if he's going now after the performances he's had, fair enough. Flashes of brilliance but he was one of the worst performers in the 'On-the-Beach' blow-outs.

Assuming he goes, it's a deal to be judged this time next week. I'm not arsed about whether it's a good deal for Fosun's books or not, I'm interested in whether a good percentage of the cash is reinvested and on what. That's the barometer

Elements of that, elements of playing for a team that dominated the ball rather than one that doesn’t.
The element of team that dominates the ball is one of the reasons why I think at city he will be class

What % do sporting get?
