No point selling Kilman and get Sanchez in..rate Kilman over him..

Che Adams scores the winner for Southampton… lethal finisher… GERRIM IN

He'll be good at that level. Just don't see it in the Prem.

I've always quite liked Adams. Has that Jota quality of being a complete nuisance even if he's not playing well.

If we had brought in Cunha, Lemina, Gomes and Dawson this summer rather than last winter we'd probably think that was an OK return on Neves et al.

Going to be honest, if Cunha had been on loan elsewhere last year and then we'd signed him for what we did this window I'd not be that happy with that business.

It's come from that poster on MM, don't think he's been very reliable in the past though.

if we bid £20m+ for Scott and have given up on completing there’d be no reason not to pursue the CH or other targets with some or all of those funds. I’ve assumed we were still hoping to complete on him or other targets regardless of the letter. then again, I’m usually delusional where the club is concerned.

Nothing has changed since the news broke that even if our last bid had been accepted we wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. The only player to have been sold since then is Sarkic for £1.2M.

Until we raise significant funds by selling Podence & RAN then the only incomings will be free transfers and loans.

I’ve spotted a flaw in this plan.

Don't think this is about their faux affordability bullshit anymore. This is about keeping Lop or he's gone.

Not itk obvs, but if we don't sign Scott I think he's gone before Utd

Scott feels more like a Jeff and co didn’t/don’t want to pay £25m than we’re skint - otherwise why would we have bid twice in the first place?

Didn't we bid for that Argentinian guy not knowing whether we'd be able to afford him as well though?

yep - don’t see how it’s a funding issue which is a choice when you’ve made the sales we have. does look to me like trying to comply with the £105m. you have to go from the alleged £60-£80m loss into profit which isn’t easy. Scuppered by those big transfers, nevermind are we recovering all of Guedes wages. £5m extra transfer fee over 5 years contract is £1m impact for FFP, so if we were happy to bid £20m… of course we could have also offered a weird structure due to FFP which was unacceptable.

It could be me being naive (again) but aren't all of these 'wim skint, no money to spend, no signngs till we've sold more players' comments just SM and media outlets taking a few ambiguous comments from JL and Shi and putting a spin on them?
I dont think I've seen any statements from Lopetegui, Shi or Hobbs that we've no money to spend at all or that there will be no more signings till we've got rid of more deadwood.

The story on that one was we offered similar but not enough up front and also a smaller sell on %

Well the letter did sort of say that
I didn't read that into it, more that cash was tight and there wouldn't be a lot of signings and not any big marquee signings.
Maybe I'm just trying to read into it what I want to happen. Glass half full bloke me, until I turn and go full on pessimist😃
