Well it's been talked about, and I believe the conclusion was that they wanted to sell up.

So I'm not sure what the general consensus is, as to why they suddenly want to pull the drawbridge up, even with what the club generates itself.

It would help if the club were a little more transparent but regards FPP, I understood that there isn't a problem now but there would if it wasn't addressed.

We have spent a lot of money recently and until this summer not got much from player sales.

If we had brought in Cunha, Lemina, Gomes and Dawson this summer rather than last winter we'd probably think that was an OK return on Neves et al.

As it stands, there's no chance of us falling foul of any rules and next summer we lose a deficit year and gain a surplus year..Next summer we can spend....

Well, every PE house will talk up their asset and say it’s not for sale, but they ARE by definition all up for sale at the right price, so that’s kind half BS and just put out their to placate the dim who are more comforted by the idea that mom is going to be around forever.

Quite plausible they want to sit on us for a few more years and they think they can drive more value that way. That said, if they were looking to move us on sooner then they’d be doing pretty much exactly what they have been doing these last few weeks - so arguably a stronger logic that they’re at least ‘encouraging conversations’ (and hoping for the best). Either way they’re obliged to say what they’ve said.

They might not be able to draw up a proper list of potential right backs, but have no doubt they’ve got a working list of potential buyers who need keeping warm, as that’s just how it works. FWIW I’d bet we’ll be flipped soon, but I’m an awful gambler so probably wrong.

I also heard a rumour...friend of a friend...other than the price we pay, everything else to do with Scott is sorted and he wants to come here.

Other than the Bournemouth rumours it would explain why there is so little other interest....and Gomes was signing for somebody else until.he wasn't.
