No, I'd say 1 in 3. I think he'd get 10 goals as a main striker Maybe a couple more.

Unless you count Hwang as a striker, all our main strikers got a combined 1 goal last season! At this point I'd take a 10 goal main striker, especially for £10-15m.
will Leicester accept an IOU?

You can't stick that down as an established fact when he consistently fails to get past 5 goals, year after year. You might think it's worth a gamble and that's up to you, I'd say no.

Sasa should easily score 5-10 if he stays fit any way. But we can't rely on his fitness. I even think Silva would do alright.

He hasn't played as the main guy year after year. If a team buys him and makes him their main striker then the situation has changed and you can't rely on previous records.

It's irrelevant any way as I don't think we'll buy him. He'll go to Everton/Palace/Forest (if they sell Johnson).

He didn't play for a reason.

Personally think he can be quite good but needs the right system around him, which Leicester only did very infrequently. He had a really good end to the season a couple of seasons ago where it suited him really well after some injuries and then Rodgers ripped it up and dropped him for the following season.

Not saying I want him here, he doesn’t do enough off the ball and wouldn’t fit our style imo but I think people on here are being harsh.

You don't need to score 10+ goals a season to be a 10+ goal a season striker, but he is a 10+ goal a season striker.

Fabio scored 11 goals in 2,128 minutes (equates to 23-24 games) last year for Anderlecht and PSV, doesn't make him a "1 in 2 striker" or that I want him starting up front at Old Trafford in a fortnight.

I'm not sure how 1 every 2-3 games is a shite PL record. It's a miles better return than we've ever had from any player since Jimenez got injured.
With that kind of record you'd think people would be paying North of £50m for him.

It's pretty wild to me the extent to which the system gets discounted when analyzing a player's success (or lack thereof) at a given club or under a given manager.

That's not necessarily a defense of Iheanacho specifically, in this case. But we could do a lot worse than him, IMO.
