Given a choice I’d rather my RB be league 1 standard than my GK. Thats just my opinion. If you dont agree then fair enough.
Doherty against Mitoma, Grealish, Martinelli, Jota, Zaha, Diaby or Rashford is just handing 3 points away

Agreed, but why sign a RB that you know will be L1 standard - if he gets fit?

Why the hell would we have to make this choice?! It’s crackers! There are thousands of professional footballers out there, why the fck are we signing this one? It makes literally no sense whatsoever. That they are going to do it isn’t really an answer to the question why are they doing it.

Was merely an example to illustrate the point.

I dont know. Im not signing him. The club clearly dont think he is L1 standard.
If you've got a league 1 standard player in any position on the pitch in the Premier League it's going to be found out and exploited.

This is a stupid argument.
As above the club clearly don’t think he is. Was just trying to illustrate that i dont see him playing much and him playing is IMO less of a hinderance than if you played a GK equally unfit for purpose. Clubs have for years been playing CBs at RB, LBs at RB, CMs at RB, even wingers and “fudging it”. More so in FB positions than any other id say. Not saying its right or successful, but you definitely cant fudge your GK.

To conclude:

1)I dont want to sign him. (Although for purely sadistic purposes it may be funny for on here, and just imagine if he was good!?)

2)The reasons I think it would happen are because he’a a free agent, low wages, HG

3)The club clearly think he’s a better option for either financial/personal/quality reasons over what we already own or it wouldnt be happening.

4) i dont think it deserves any more attention than signing a cheap, HG backup GK.

5) in the scenario where the club got it massively wrong and he did turn out to he unfit for purpose it wouldn't be the end of the world

Careful with that kind of logic...
The club will have us think that we are in serious FFP trouble* so ANY money wasted is just stupid

*We're not any more, they are lying

3)The club clearly think he’s a better option for either financial/personal/quality reasons over what we already own or it wouldnt be happening.
Silva, Guedes, Cunha and Semedo all disprove this.

Tbf the club haven't said much on this.
Some journos went in so hard on the FFP they are unable to u-turn without looking like dicks.

That doesn't matter, he can't play RB!
Depends how Lop plans on playing him doesn’t it. We don’t know what the managers intentions are, unless you don’t want to give Lop the benefit of the doubt. Personally, whilst not being excited by the signing, il
Be backing Lop to get something out of him if he signs

I really want to know who the other club after him are so I can see if their fans have dedicated the last week of their life discussing him,
