Injury and age have caught up with Bonucci, but he'd have been the leader we are looking for at the back. Great defender and master of the dark arts for the last decade or more.

I was in the San Siro when he got sent off during his one disappointing season at Milan. Went to a VAR review when the referee was the only person in a 50k crowd who didn't see him poleaxe the opponent with a terrible elbow. N.B. terrible as in an assault, not terrible as in he didn't do it very well!

In news that will shock nobody we're insisting that a replacement is required first before we sell Sa. Not sure if his Mrs thinking that being close to the Trent is akin to a Mediterranean destination or the discussion of clipping animal parts off with MGW will be the attraction of a move to Nottingham.

Exceptional defender in his day but bordering on dirty, IMO.

Don't particularly want a player like that. I'd be apoplectic if we signed Ashley Barnes.

Mentioned it yesterday but the only way Sa to Forest makes sense is if their owner is getting him back for Olympiacos on the cheap. Forest sign him and then loan him there

Did they sign someone to replace Navas and I missed it?

But of course Gobshite Dean won't move until United sign a new #1, and they're doing their standard trick of trying and failing to lowball for their top target (Onana, what's my name)

Navas was only on loan, I don't actually put him above Sa anyway. Can make some spectacular saves but has erratic footwork and makes a lot of errors. His stats were worse than Sa's too I believe, certainly were when I discussed him elsewhere after he had a shocker at Brentford.

Navas is done at the top level, I agree. Love the bloke and gotta defend a CONCACAF international but yeah, way too many gaffes at this stage, even if he can still have the odd blinder here and there.

Is this the cart horse that played upfront for Germany?
Volland is alright, not a great international record but far from the worst Germany have picked there (Carsten Jancker, Paulo Roberto Rink, Sandro Wagner, Max Kruse and Cacau were all way worse footballers)

Club record looks alright to be fair averages about 1/3

He was shockingly poor for his first 2 seasons.

We were all ready to point him on for last than a packet of crisps when Nuno came in.
Absolutely, if you want to hold up Coady, you better be ready to praise Doherty as well. Both were average championship players at best then performed well in the premier league in the roles Nuno put them in.

I assume people would if Matt Doherty had come through Liverpool's Academy rather than Bohemians' Academy.
