That and instead of engaging an attacker with the ball on the edge of the box backpeddling to stand either in front of the keeper or on the goal line. A complaint I can identify withEarly in the season Everton's back 4 sat really deep and he was doing ok, as you would expect. At one point a lot of praise for his partnership with Tarkowski.
However, as Everton are a bit shit they struggled as we did for goals. So Frank got the defence to push up to try and get them playing more higher up the pitch....end result, Coady being done by anything played over him.
