your comment suggests that Mendes has massive power , i.e. telling a player its Wolves or nowhere , even though he might not have wanted to come ?What would it take to get you to do a job you don't want to do?
There seems to be a lot of revisionism regarding these three (and I loved Saiss) every one of them had received their fair share of criticism, Saiss apparently cost us a goal a game, always had a ricket in him, Coady could not play in a four, he wasn't as good as everyone thought he was, could get easily turned every game and Boly was absent and then not the player he was, whether that was long covid or because our Shergar faced prick wasn't taking to him, we'll never know.I'm pleased we have signed Dawson, but i'd much prefer we'd have kept Coady, Saiss and/or Boly.
Boly cost Forest less than Dawson too didn't he?
I think that pretty much sums it up.There seems to be a lot of revisionism regarding these three (and I loved Saiss) every one of them had received their fair share of criticism, Saiss apparently cost us a goal a game, always had a ricket in him, Coady could not play in a four, he wasn't as good as everyone thought he was, could get easily turned every game and Boly was absent and then not the player he was, whether that was long covid or because our Shergar faced prick wasn't taking to him, we'll never know.
Although I'm paraphrasing those were all criticisms levelled at each of them on more than one occasion and it was alluded to that every one of them should have been upgraded and I think that's the point, not that they've gone, just they haven't been adequately replaced
There's no issue that he isn't a very persuasive person, I doubt he'd get to the position he's in without being so, I would have thought selling the premiership dream wouldn't be too hard, even as a stepping stone to bigger and better things, I think if you massage a footballers ego the rest of him will followyour comment suggests that Mendes has massive power , i.e. telling a player its Wolves or nowhere , even though he might not have wanted to come ?
I know Mendes is powerful , but surely a player can exercise other options ?
Big fan of when you get the wind behind your sails and post more than half a line. There seems to be a lot of revisionism regarding these three (and I loved Saiss) every one of them had received their fair share of criticism, Saiss apparently cost us a goal a game, always had a ricket in him, Coady could not play in a four, he wasn't as good as everyone thought he was, could get easily turned every game and Boly was absent and then not the player he was, whether that was long covid or because our Shergar faced prick wasn't taking to him, we'll never know.

"premiership"
Where's the revisionism? You've contradicted yourself by the end of this post.

That people said they were no good for us anymore just possibly?
Early in the season Everton's back 4 sat really deep and he was doing ok, as you would expect. At one point a lot of praise for his partnership with Tarkowski.Incidently have a read of Grand Old Team, it's fair to say Coady's role as a defender in a 4 is being significantly questioned,
Basically this.No issue with moving on from all of them for the reasons Paul hyperbolically paraphrases. The problem wasn't them leaving as such (although the Coady deal is laughable), it was not replacing them and going into a season with Toti and Mosquera our 3rd and 4th choice options.
