Dawson goes straight into the 11 for me. He's better than Kilman (in the form he's in at the moment) and absolutely miles better than Toti.

Don't disagree, more that, as of right this second, I don't want Kilman or Toti to be one twisted ankle away from a 90' outing.

I'm not that fussed about a striker as long as we get somebody that can score goals.

A left sided attacker in the Mane mould (somebody like Sarr from Watford) or an attacking midfielder like Olmo would be just as good.

We should then have enough about us to create and score.

Sometimes the less glamorous ones work out for the best (Ryan Bennett etc). For £3m that’s sound business and some much needed experience in to the back line. Very happy with that.

The bloke that broke the Gomes stuff is saying we need to match Lyon or he’s off there, whether the player likes it or not.

No they can't. French labour laws would be an interesting thing to try and bypass if the player refuses to sign a contract.
