Fuck Deulofeu, hate the rat-faced cunt. Also previously failed with two PL clubs. No way

Very much falls into the 1/5 type player can’t be carry another like that

How many wingers are we trying to sign? We need a CF more than another winger!
Say Traore and Guedes leave, and we can't gamble on Neto hitting the ground running after another long injury.

That leaves us with Podence, Cunha, Sarabia, Hwang and maybe RAN. Another right sided forward would be fine with me as Hwang is shite and shouldn't be played unless we have to.

We definitely don't need another wide player even if Guedes and Traore leave we have more than enough options.

Ok, its Wednesday night, My heads spinning and it's not cos I've just got back from the pub.
But wtf is going on with the Gomes situation. Has he gone to Lyon or is he still an option for us
Guedes, meh I'm not that bothered.

As far as I can work out, Flamengo want all the money from us right now, Lyon have promised that (and a bit extra on top) and we don't generally do deals like that. Possible we don't actually have all that cash right now either.

Lyon's interest is irrelevant as Gomes is not interested in signing for them. I can cheat on Football Manager and give Telford £200bn, they still can't sign Lewandowski.

The only issue now is if Flamengo throw their toys out of the pram with Gomes and block any move until the summer, freezing him out of their team at the same time.

Unlikely but you never know with these clubs.

I think the danger is that other clubs are alerted to him and now know that Flamengo will be willing to do a deal even though they've already agreed a fee with us.

He might not want to go to Lyon but it might be a different story if another English club higher up the table or a club in a European competition decides they want him.

Saying that he might just be a principled guy who doesn't want to go back on his word to Wolves. Rare in football these days but they do exist.

It’s the PL lure plus an easier stepping stone to the sky 6.
Don’t think it’s down to keeping his word just knows coming to the PL offers a better opportunity as opposed to playing in Ligue 1 without sounding to arrogant.

One thing to be wary of is the owner of Lyon also co-owns Crystal Palace so if he's set on the Premier League, Textor might recommend him to Vieria.

It could happen. The lure of the having 3 Brazilians already at the club and many others who speak his language might be what is attracting him to us.

Made the point earlier that Lyon are a proven stepping stone into Europe for Brazilian players so it might not be that.

If he prefers Wolves to Lyon I think it'll most likely be because he's been sold on the 'project' which seems to be back on. Danger is now if a club with a more attractive project comes knocking.

I think we'll find out in the next few days either way.

Seems a bit if an issue that he just cares about his own stats. Not doing things for the team, all about him.

If there's one position on a football pitch where that is less of an issue it's centre forward. When I have watched him he presses and works off the ball, I know it doesn't come across well but some of the best forwards I've played with are the sort that come off pissed off if we've won 1-0 but they haven't scored.

Perhaps the sight of Cunha playing in the snow on Instagram is currently delaying his appetite to jump on the plane to the UK.
