You see, its each to his own. I have eaten in dozens of Michelin starred restaurant all over the world, but I still adore the wife's Sunday dinners, cold meat and chips and an Indian from the Redforte tandoori in Hednesford.
ps. And a special mention for Bunny Chow in Durban :)

Snap, snap and snap!

We'd get on well, Fred.

Those burgers sound ace, Machin. We had curried turkey burgers yesterday.

To either eat out, or have a meal at home,, hubby will always say 'I prefer yours tbh' which is a bit of a pain at times, but on the other hand its a lovely compliment, as I love cooking a meal and seeing people enjoy it and leave clean plates:)

I think that's when you know you are destined to be together, when your wife's cooking surpasses your Mothers (or Dads in my case !)

They were well nice. Lovely heat to them in the background but a smoky flavour in the main.

Smoky flavour on the grill is ace

Don't know about that Paul. He told me once, me apple pie wasn't quite as good as his mothers. Never made one since!

First game of the play offs tonight for the Penguins. Best of 7 games, with a Pittsburgh Penguins Play Off party at a different neighbours house for each game. Tonight its at mine, so;

Burgers
Chilli Dogs
Hot Wings
Cheese & Jalapeno Bites with Salsa
Crispy potato skins with creamy dip
Teriyaki Beef & lettuce cups
Chicken & veg springrolls with sweet chilli dip

And a cake shaped like a Penguins jersey.

LETS GO PENS :)

I've never tried a chilli dog. Any good?

Bit messy if you overload, but lovely. I put raw finely chopped red onion on mine Bear, then pour the chilli on top, gives it a bit of a crunch.

Fish coated with tomato, basil, oregano and red peppers. Potatoes, and mushy peas. Nom!

Not sure if I spoke about this back when we went (these pics are from march 2013), but thought any sushi fans here might get a kick out of my pics. Omakase counter @ Sushi Taro in downtown DC. One of the top rated restaurants in the entire country, and both times we've gone the head chef was our personal server/cook for 3-4 hours.
