The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Olives are foul, the first time I ever went to Subway not knowing what the hell the deal was (this was about 15 years ago) I asked for "everything" on my sandwich and those bastards were on there, horrible.

I definitely wouldn't be persevering with food that I instinctively don't like 10 times before making a definitive decision, I'd just eat something I do like. Which is easy enough as I'm not particularly picky, just certain foods are on the definite no list.

I keep trying olives - I probably have tried them around 10 times and nope, they're minging.

But Sniffer does have a point about trying things more than once before you can really say whether you like them properly or not (10 is probably a bit excessive though!). Flavours are ace - give them a chance before dismissing them outright!

I agree to an extent, sometimes you just know though. I'd rather listen to Starsailor's entire back catalogue on a loop for three months than eat a pizza with pineapple as a topping again.

That's like me with gorgonzola. I'm sorry - that's not food. I wouldn't spread that shit on my garden. The only food that makes me physically heave as soon as I taste it.

Gorgonzola is beautiful! So many food heathens on here!

I'm probably one of the least picky eaters around but everyone has something they detest. And I abhor gogonzola. I remember my ex-wife once made me some sandwiches for work and smeared a fuckload of that filth all over them. (I hasten to add that this wasn't the reason we broke up, though it's clearly grounds for divorce).

Sprouts.....end of :)

With a special mention to :

Parsnips
Turnip
Corned Beef

& Olives

I wouldn't be happy with it in sandwiches. Any sort of blue is too overpowering for a sandwich to the point where any other ingredient is pointless.

It's brilliant to cook with though as it mellows slightly and is so creamy. I stuffed some pork loins with pear, gorgonzola and wrapped it in parma ham the other day. Sublime.

Big fan of blue cheese with crackers, not so much any other way though.

Blue cheese is beautiful. I have to say, Lidl's stilton at Christmas was top notch!

People I used to like :

1) Sniffer Grouse

I still have an outstanding fatwa issued by Pavlos against me so not being liked is quite tame. Who would have though that Mary Hopkin and sprouts could cause so much trouble.
