The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Since having kids, we're outside as often as we can be (with a high factor sun cream and hats on Bear so no need to worry too much!) We try to give them as much fresh air (perhaps not quite 'fresh', I do live in Sandwell after all) and sunshine as possible.

So much better for kids, no matter what their age than stuck in doors, stuck in front of the tele, txting on phones, hiding in their bedrooms, on computer games.

Enjoy ya bbq TDan :)

Bloody love the sunshine. Del and PPB summed it up perfectly including the purse, especially as the wife is banned from my BBQ.

There is one crucial fact that's been overlooked in all this talk about the weather etc, and that is the fact that BBQ food is the nicest tasting food of all!
Literally everything tastes good when BBQ'd right. We par boil sweet potato and carrots and lob em on the top shelf and they are superb when dipped into some chipotle salsa.

To me, it doesn't matter what the weather is like, as long as its not raining, its fair weather for a BBQ

I've seen a picture of the BBQ. The charcoal arrangement is different to how I do it. Hmm.

What is more scandalous is that she is not following BBQ protocol where you are not allowed within a metre of the BBQ unless you have a beer in your hand. Shocking scenes.

Big fuck off steak, mushrooms, tomatoes, wedgies, onion ring, baked beans, egg.

Cos I'm bloody ravenous :)

Thats more like it!

Have you noticed that no one answers your posts since we didn't get an invite to your BBQ :)
I was ill for about 4 days after the bbq so it's probably a good thing no one was invited! (I think the illness was just coincidental though)

Karma for having one when it was 14 degrees but the sun was limply peeking out IMO/IMV.

I've got 600g of minced aged beef to make into two burgers (!), glazed brioche buns, with chilli and garlic sweet potato wedges tonight. As anybody who's seen my gut will testify, I fucking love burgers!

Sounds good Del.

Anyway,It's the bread that gives us our big tums, not the burgers. :)

Brioche buns and sweet potato chips? Have you been reading The Complete Hipsters Cookbook or sutin?

:icon_lol:

Out of interest, what is the Deutsch Wolf approved temperature for having a BBQ?

Next time I have a BBQ, Del can come round and cook the burgers.
