The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

The only acceptable way for mint to end up on the same plate as chicken is if you're having raita with your curry!

Not even on your peas with a roast chicken dinner?

So, do 'minted peas' only belong on a lamb dinner ?

Bollocks do they.

Mint is lovely on lots of things not just lamb.

Mint on chicken and mushroom could just about work. I may have even had it before.

I'll give that one my BearCondimentCombo approval.

Oh, and bubble and squeak requires ketchup which I will be having tomorrow :)

Bubble and squeak requires binning. Rank.

I tried some again the other week and it's like frying up what you'd chuck in the compost pile.

I tried several condiments, brown sauce, ketchup, sweet chilli sauce and even some levi roots stuff. (no salad cream). And it was still just awful.

The triumvirate of food savages are out to get me!

Nowt wrong with mint sauce on chicken. Dependent on dish.

I had chicken chasseur today and I wouldn't put it on that. But would always have it on a roast chicken dinner.

Minted peas are fine - its when you start putting the mint over meats other than lamb that it goes into the perverted range

Minted peas are good to be fair. We don't ever tend to have peas with a roast though, so it isn't something I considered.

I had ketchup on my mac & cheese (with sausages) tonight. Thoughts?
