The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

If you order a take out curry here you have to order a vindaloo extra hot to even get any noticeable burn. The curry here is so anodyne and becalmed to suit the Australian palette I guess.

A real vindaloo would be an eye opener for them.
Not the only part of the body it would open either.

I have always loved hot curry, especially a King Prawn Vindaloo.
The good thing about cooking them yourselves is you can adjust the heat accordingly.
I keep a jar of Mr Naga in the fridge. You only need a very, very small amount to turn a curry into to a volcanic sensation!

Found a curry house here in Melbourne to test this out. It’s called Gaylord which is a slightly unusual name for a restaurant 😐

£36 for a bag of chips!!!!
Mind you, reading it again does that mean you pay £36 for 100 bags, little tiny bags of chips?
In fact, none of that makes sense! there are about 5 chips in 40grams...

It's a 4kg bag of pre-cut chips. The price per kg is the giveaway.

My apologies for the chef's choice of potato based accompaniment...

It’s a fucking rib steak! Gravy??? There are so many other better choices Bear. I’d personally opt for a Bearnaise but Cafe de Paris is also a great selection
