The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Had one of these for my birthday treat in Jamie Oliver's Restaurant in Dublin, only not quite as plentiful as this photo.
We had 4 Oysters, 4 large prawns laughingly called Dublin Bay Prawns, 4 ordinary large prawns, A large shell stuffed with crab meat, a tiny little lobster and 8 slices of brown bread. There were us two and our 10 year old daughter. We weren't given a tool to crush or crack the long legs of the DB prawns but there wouldn't have been much in them anyway. So that was it for us a trifle expensive for what it was. The DB Prawns were about 8" long but as you know, once you snap the head off, the two big long arms and the tail and the back shell you were left with 2" of lovely flesh. A lot of waste!
@Leeds, how much was that large plate of goodies, and where were you?
Mine was €70! and about half of what was on yours.

Taglierini? FFS!

The link is to the specials (don't look at the menus)...

Hmmm. As I am seeing absolutely no ribbon pasta in the photo I think we can rule out the taglierini. It’s clearly the seafood sharing platter with lobster Roy!

£32 fucking quid for a lamb dinner!

Personal favourite tonight for a dinner party of 10. Spent the afternoon preparing some lovely from scratch lasagnas. Going to be bostin.

Why is the starter bigger than the main?

Just because the tiny dinner comes on a huge plate doesn't make it bigger.

You can't be for real :D

What's the bigger meal, a 400g tin of tomato soup or a 228g (8oz) steak?

I using my eyes based on the background items, not measurements.
