The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Wow Leeds!
Those (Dublin Bay) prawns are expensive!!
As I doubt they've ever heard of Dublin Bay, what do they actually call them?
Of course, they will have heard of Dublin Bay... they're called scampi...

That's the price for 2kg A$99.99 = £55 approx or £27.50/kg

Well made haggis is fookin superb. BAAAD haggis is mind bogglingly awful. A haggis with chilli as eaten in Edinburgh by one lunatic on my stag do has to be as bad as food actually gets!

And now haggis potato cakes with the left overs...

Moules a la creme followed with Coquilles St Jacques et Gambas a la Creole.

Completed with un plateau des fromages...

Mrs UKY popped into Aldi this morning in the hope they will have their seasonal Irish bangers, she texted and said they have them in stock so bagged a couple of packages
Sausage, mash, peas and bistro for tea tonight. Just a little taste of home :)

You can't beat sausage and mash with onion gravy.

AKA - Had a text, bangers available for tomorrow night

Beats having Weetabix for breakfast

Proper Cumberland sausages are the best things.
If it says 'Cumberland Style sausages, put them down.
Proper ones must have at least 80% pork in them.
Big fat sizzling things of loveliness!

Just as an aside to that.... a question.
I read a while ago that you don't puncture the skin so as to keep all of the flavour in.
But lots do puncture the skin so it cooks better. Especially on a BarBQ...
