The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

You see that's the only down side to food arguments when someone likes something that somebody else doesn't it ends up being the foods fault, I cannot abide sprouts, I loathe them on every level of hate but I appreciate that they're good for you, so the fact they make we wretch is not the sprouts fault.
But don't get me started on marzipan :)

Love marzipan, and sprouts.

I find it weird that some people love a sliced tomato, but can't stand cooked tomatoes. I love coconut in cooking and yet hate eating fresh coconut. I love carrots cooked but don't like a raw one. Odd.

Honey Mustard Chicken tonight with noodles. :)

Didn't enjoy that either.

I think my appetite is waning...which is a shame as we've just had an Asda delivery.

Dont get me started on all that, love fresh cherries hate them in cakes, drink coffee but cant stand anything coffee flavoured, have a sweet tooth but cannot stand sugar in coffee / tea.............the list goes on and on

Love cooking with tomatoes. Cannot stand them raw.

Coffee ice cream is very palatable, but coffee itself is from satan.

drink coffee but cant stand anything coffee flavoured,

Same here. Also the same with Bananas. Love the fruit but banana flavoured stuff is vile but I am not sure if that is born from the banana flavoured medicine forced on me as a child.

Can't stand avocado (it has the texture and taste of soap) but quite like guacamole...

100% because of that. Your brain has associated banana with horrible tasting medicine.

And regards liking cooked but not uncooked - texture is everything.

Ywah, like you I cannot abide marzipan yet I love almonds.

Similarly I love hazelnuts yet detest Nutella and love peanuts but can't stomach peanut butter!

Tomato based sauces = bang on
Tinned tomatoes on a breakfast = yep, crack on, especially as I hate beans so they're not an option to provide moisture
Grilled tomato on a breakfast = not ideal but I'll eat it
Sliced uncooked tomato = get out of my face, especially on a sandwich. Rank

I like tomatoes raw or cooked but ketchup makes me gag, love brown sauce
I love chocolate but dislike chocolate flavoured stuff

Tomato based sauces - yes in moderation, some of the Italian dishes that are just a sea of tomato based sauce no thanks

Raw tomatoes are wonderful when the tomato itself is good quality. Completely pointless otherwise - wet, flavourless mess.

People who put Ketchup on Roast Dinners - Get in the sea
People who put ketchup on Burgers, Hotdogs, Bacon or for dipping chips in - Using it correctly

Not even on a burger or hot dog?

I love good ketchup.

There's specialist mustard for that gig.

Trump puts ketchup on steak and it's not even that uncommon for Americans I believe. The absolute fiends.

It's brown sauce on bacon and sausage, no negotiation. Proper brown sauce though. None of your fruity nonsense.

The mustard in Germany was top notch. A sweeter version of what we have over here and tried a couple that sounded similar but nowwhere near as nice

Red Sauce on Bacon & Egg only. Brown on Bacon only

This is close and you can get it in most supermarkets:

I think it's actually made in Germany too.

Didn't have any last time I tried in the Co-Op so I bought the Heinz version. It's not horrible but nothing like the same.

That’s mustard for little kids. Can’t beat proper homemade from powder English mustard.
