Funnily enough had meatballs as well tonight (+ mash, peas & gravy).

Hadn't realised till I started cooking them that they were venison rather than the beef ones I thought I was buying.

Certainly a different taste

I had sausage & mash with onion gravy, then homemade apple & blackberry crumble with custard for pudding.

It was bloody lovely!

As requested by my Sister, I'm making my Chinese Chicken Curry , and Special Fried Rice with Lemongrass for when they all arrive this evening.

Pork ribs with Chinese spice rubbed on them earlier today.

Then I'm at the pub for pool and it's cornish pastie, chips and beans for afters.

Made a Tandoori Fish dinner last night.
Big cubes of monkfish with red yellow and green pepper chunks in between them, with a gorgeous Tandoori marinade...

If anyone's interested...
350g fat free yoghurt
small onion grated
a couple of garlic cloves mashed or grated
about an inch of grated root ginger
juice of 2 limes
3 tablespoons of Tandoori spice powder

Mix it all together, cover the 4 skewers grill for about 6 or 7 mins each side or until nice and starting to char...

We had a load of Marinade left over, so I'm doing big chicken chunks tonight with Basmati Rice into which I've thrown a handful of wild rice and another handful of Camargue Red rice. Looks very pretty!

I tried monkfish at an Indian restaurant once just for a change. Fish curry didn't really work for me.

Beef liver, fried onions garlic and chopped green peppers, with big sod off home made chips and a gravy. I don't care if it's 40C, i love my evening meal.

People eat their main meal at 22.00 pm here .Often me and my family go out to eat .Then we go to a heladeria and have a nice ice cream drink (un batido) .
