The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

I like a packet of Scampi Fries with a beer if I'm in the pub.

However if I'm drinking Coke (full sweet version not diet) I like ready salted peanuts. Take a mouthful of peanuts, half chew them so they're broken up a bit, then take a big swig of coke and mix it all around in your gob sort of sieving the Coke through the nuts as you chew. Salt + sweet + crunchy = brilliant.

This thread is supposed to give me some culinary inspiration. Instead it makes me want to heave. And then never eat again.

So basically

Buy Coke. Buy peanuts.

Pretend to be a whale.

A BLT is one of the shittest mainstream sandwiches ever.

What's with all the BLT hate? :icon_lol:

Perfectly decent sandwich.

I despise sliced tomato on a sandwich (or a burger, for that matter). Lettuce is a complete nonentity, so there's two thirds of the ingredients that might as well get chucked on the floor. Then the bacon tends to be processed shite. I wouldn't want one for free.

Yep. All correct. It's just an odd combination of ingredients that has somehow become acceptable. Like ice in cider. Stop it.

Anyway - the lamb for the passanda I'm doing tonight is currently marinading in the fridge. Smells awesome. The marinade is natural yoghurt, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garlic, hot chillies and ginger. Today will pass slowly.

Sorry, HP sauce and Daddies mouth.

Very good sir (although should that not be Daddy's?).

Back on track, we went on a rare trip to Waitrose on Sunday (only because the missus wanted to get a free coffee and a paper with her Waitrose card, we don't usually shop there) and found a big shoulder of pork that was half price so we are having pulled pork sandwiches tomorrow. Can't wait!

Gravy, stuffing, apple sauce?

Nice. Try adding some fenugreek and lime juice to the marinade. That really works.

And don't forget to sieve the finished curry through fresh coke in your mouth.

Don't forget to add some strawberry jam in there for added sweetness!
