The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Bear. You disappoint! But, I stick by it. By the way, the bacon has to go cold before you put it on the bread. It's really not much different to having a ham/ cucumber and SC sarnie. Mind you that may even be a no no to a few on here.

Scampi Fries are the foulest snack food EVER. The smell of them is what I would imagine a prostitutes fanny to smell of, and should NEVER be eaten whilst in company and talking to people and NEVER should be eaten in a pub.

BLT's, nothing wrong with lettuce, tomato on bacon. And especially nice on a cheeseburger. Although I prefer the lettuce not to be finely shredded, but the leaf left whole and folded so theres a bit of a crunch.

Stan, well, that's just fucked up!

I imagine most of these concoctions to go along these lines. If these are the good ones then what about the ones that are unfit for publication?!

Lisa: There’s nothing to eat for breakfast.
Homer: You gotta improvise, Lisa. Cloves, Tom Collins mix, frozen pie crust.
Lisa: Maybe mom just doesn’t realize we miss her. We could go down to the casino and let her know…
Homer: Oh, come on, Lisa, there’s no reason to [takes a bite] let’s go see Mom.

Nice. Try adding some fenugreek and lime juice to the marinade. That really works.

And don't forget to sieve the finished curry through fresh coke in your mouth.

:icon_lol:

The sauce I'm making for it later tonight has fenugreek seeds in it. And cardamom pods. And the piece de resistance - my dad's ground homegrown scotch bonnet chillies.

Lol. Some of you just don't want to expand your culinary horizons.

I think most people on here have a wide variety of tastes, they just prefer food that doesn't appear to have been prepared by the criminally insane. It's nothing to do with a lack of open mindedness.

It's more to do with just old fashioned mocking. I would try most things on here, just not Stans fucked up bacon sandwich

It's really, really not. A lack of open mindedness would be refusing to try say, Thai food, just on principle or for some weird convoluted reason. Looking at a combination and refusing to countenance it as it quite bloody obviously doesn't go...is common sense. I don't have the time or energy to try a million appalling weird combinations in the hope that a tiny fraction might somehow come off, not when there's a world of perfectly palatable food out there.

To be honest, I'm not sure I would try Stans fucked up sandwich either, although I'd give most other things a try before I judged other people.

Because who says it doesn't go, you? You who haven't the time or the energy to give them a go? Just because you say something is an abomination and doesn't appeal to you, don't make out that the few who puts SC on chips or bacon, or HP on mushy peas, or gravy on fish , or mint sauce on sausage, don't make them out to be nutters. :)

Anyway - the lamb for the passanda I'm doing tonight is currently marinading in the fridge. Smells awesome. The marinade is natural yoghurt, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garlic, hot chillies and ginger. Today will pass slowly.
You forgot the salad cream....

The state of this thread!

BLT - absolute fine as a sandwich mix, as long as it's not pre-packaged, the bacon must be hot, must have loads of mayo

Tomato - such a good compliment to any sandwich/burger. Soft juicy texture, helps with the lubrication. I have sliced tomato on everything, sandwiches, burgers, kebabs

Mint Yoghurt on meatballs - hell yes, if its spicy lamb meatballs, then the yoghurt counters the spiciness

Coke and peanuts - WTF? Why? Both are perfectly fine on their own

Today for lunch, Im having a sandwich from a place called Munchies, not sure if they exist in the UK?
Toasted batch bread, with smoky bacon, roast chicken pieces, melted cheese, chili mayo, tomato, crisp lettuce and Ballymaloe Relish. It's phenomenal

Thai king prawn green curry with spiced Jasmine Pilaf.

I've got a Moroccan Chicken Stew tonight. Never had it before so haven't got a clue what's in it (although I'm guessing it's quite likely to have chicken as one of the ingredients).

It'll be nice. Paprika, peppers, tomato, chili etc..

Just ask if the recipe was found on Wolves Forum first. If it was, avoid and have a takeaway
