The Hand of Willy verdict thread

Anyone who thought we played "shite" needs to readjust their expectations and/or give themselves a good dose of realism.

City were easily the best team.

Wolves played out of their skins.

Luck went against us just as it will go for us in other games this is season.

For Christ sake, give Wolves some credit.

I am going for a lie down.

That's from BlueMoon. Sure there are dicks on there who expect a destruction of every team. I suspect they were probably somewhat new on the scene, shall we say, but it is easy to pick out the older fans who have been with City through bad and good.

I don’t think we played out of our skins, this is just part of their “reasons we didn’t win” narrative. In some respects we were probably below the level we are capable of. At times we defended at the limits and on another day they don’t hit the post/bar. On another day, Raul is onside and Neves hits the target.

We have a talented group of players who are good at what they do...that’s why City didn’t beat us.

Spot on.

Hope you lot are suitably recovered.

For those who need a hangover cure take 2 anadin extra with one glass of orange Berrocha. Works every time!

Something tells me you lot may have a few sore heads this season!

Just make sure you're hydrated. The potions stuff is bollocks.

The only cure for a hangover is sleep.

It goes down as one of my favourite Wolves game along with :-

Man City League Cup Final
Forest League Cup Final
Burnley Sherpa Van
Juventus UEFA Cup
Leicester 4-3
Man Utd 2-1 Georgie Elokobi
Rotherham 6-4
Bristol City last minute winner
Cardiff missed penalties

So pleased to of seen so much drama.

(And yes - me and my mates used to go when we were dropping down the leagues. Turn up at 2:55pm after 6 pints in the Combamere and stand with the other 2500 people!)

Really good game, little fortunate that Man City hit the bar a few times and that Boly want considered deliberate/wasn't spotted but we deserved the draw.

Really enjoyed watching Wolves actually compete with one of the best teams in England if not Europe. Unlike April 2012 when they relegated us!

Moutinho Motm for me, would have been Boly but I thought he was flat footed for their goal.

Boo hiss the play off finals not on the list!

Seriously though a good selection there!

Bugger...but I couldn't go to Cardiff.
One of my biggest regrets.

Was going to go to that, but the time change buggered it up - no trains to get back home & ndorsetwolf could only find a sensible hotel deal miles away

Managed to get to 3 off that list

You lot are a bit worrying.

Are you really such lightweights?

I don't get hangovers which is a good job but I have shown u the cure!

It's all about drinking the stuff that suits.

Half a bottle of bourbon and four pints . No hangover. Bottle of shi t red and 4 chasers. Take the cure!

Best day ever.

Never had more from football and cried like a baby at full time. Will never forget it. Seeing the Sheffield fans leave while we all celebrated was amazing. They had done us in the league, won at our place and we stitched them up royally when it mattered. I cried when we went down in the 80s. I howled at cardiff.
