The Golf Thread

This is why folks love Scottie. Honest and truthful about how he feels. And, to be honest, it's how I feel about the Premiership and to some extent Wolves. I don't need Wolves to be in the Prem to support the club. Frankly, some of the best days of supporting the club were in the lowest leagues. Would I rather we could compete in the Prem? Absolutely. But, it isn't the be all and end all. Just the way I feel about it. Appreciate others will feel differently.

I loved Mick's first season. Left in the shit by Hoddle, barely a squad. He scraped together what he could, and they seemed to care as much as we did. And it ended up being a pretty good season.

One of my favourite weekends is upon us, time for the Ryder Cup.

Opening foursomes tomorrow

Rahm & Hatton v DeChambeau & Thomas
Aberg & Fitzpatrick v Scheffler & Henley
McIlroy & Fleetwood v Morikawa & English
MacIntyre & Hovland v Schauffele & Cantlay

USA 0-3 Europe

Rahm/Hatton 4&3 v DeChambeau/Thomas
McIlroy/Fleetwood 5&4 v Morikawa/English
Aberg/Fitzpatrick 5&3 v Scheffler/Henley

Brilliant start from Europe, 3 comprehensive victories. If MacIntyre and Hovland can pinch a couple of the final 6 holes and take a tie then it's been almost perfect

When MacIntyre and Hovland won 3 holes on the bounce I really thought it was on.
Hope we have a similar afternoon!

Oh Rory 😭 what a day's play that was. America can feel a bit hard done by to be three back I think

Oh well.

Maintain or better the lead tomorrow and we're very strong favourites. Can't see them winning 8 or 9 singles.

What a first hole that was

Nerves of steel from Aberg to sink that putt

They’re gonna have to sort some of the crowd out before Lowry does a Cantona here.
