The Goggle Box Thread

@Tredman
The Sinner is pretty good in a dark way.

I presume you've watched The Last Dance and Redeem Team.

Peripheral, Expanse, Lovecraft are all excellent. Halt and Catch Fire if you haven't watched already.

Another vote for Dopesick on Disney+, Slow Horses on Apple and The Diplomat on Netflix.

Thanks all. A ton of recommendations

Going with:

  2. Dope sick
  3. Fauda
  4. Slow Horses
  5. Ganglands
  6. Deadwind
  7. Colin from Accounts
Probably end up watching none of them and spend the time poking at my laptop while trying not to spill my drink and quietly grumbling.

Well what a show that was. Thought it'd be wank so only started it a couple of months back, caught up in about 3 weeks and was gutting to have to wait a week for each episode. Some of the football was naff but overall it was so enjoyable and wholesome 🤠

No spoilers please. Will be starting the final season in the next week.

I hope there is a Coach Beard Dallasesque shower moment now

The Days on Netflix, only two episodes in but a really good detailed account of Fukushima.

I did try Ted Lasso.

It was along the lines of when I tried viewing Gonçalo Guedes with an open mind. Not for me, sorry.

I love Ted Lasso. I watched just after season 1 finished and it's been great.

S3 had its issues but it was still good.

FWIW it seems like it's going to be cloying at first but it absolutely evens out as the first season rolls along. Tackles a few things that really surprised me, and does so with a fair amount of grace, IMO.

Not saying you need to go back, but there's one scene in particular from season 1 that spoke to me quite loudly that I think would hit you hard as well, mate. For those who have watched, it involves Ted taking a moment to himself outside the pub.

Just watching the first episode of the Gallows Pole, it’s ok but although it’s set in the 16th century it’s very very 2023.

Yeah I watched it tonight, not sure I'll bother with the rest of it.

Watched the first couple of Sharp Objects (as expected totally ignored the iPad with suggested programmes). It's really good.
