LMFAO The avatar.
Pass me the tissues.Does Quirk get this one?
BTW nobody ever touches Miner Willy..Does Quirk get this one?
Yes, that is what I use but the landline broadband is still connected and charged for if I want a landline phone! £36 a month (including calls admittedly plus £32 per month to Airband. Airband is 'quite' good at circa 20MB when it works but has several days each month when it doesn't. Always transmitter issues at Petton. It's incredible thought versus the landline!Have you looked into Airband?
Near Loppington/Burlton. There was a Burlton Wolf on the Mix but no connection and I'm not aware that I know them.Where abouts in this fine County are you?
Had one from EE prior to Airband but 4G is patchy at best (upstairs bedroom it's okay but downstairs only 3G). We are genuinely only 10 miles north of Shrewsbury but seemingly in a black spot for most things. Can you get 4 or 5G? Can get an unlimited data sim from 3 and put in a router.
There seem to be lots of schemes and promises about improving rural broadband or making the internet accessible to all. All I see are new estates in villages with existing super fast fibre getting upgraded to incredibly fast fibre. Hundreds of meg to several hundred meg etc., etc. Those with little or no connection get nothing.Openreach really should be actively dealing with speeds like that. Unfortunately you can't speak to them, only your ISP can, and it's a lottery whether anything actually gets sorted.
I was getting similar <1MBps speeds in my old house about 5-6 years ago, Plusnet did get in touch with Openreach and after sorting out some dodgy ancient wiring from the telegraph pole it was all sorted. Kudos to them. But equally you can end up in an infinite loop of the problem being passed very slowly from one to the other and nothing happens.
I didn’t realise it was so expensive! Always heard good reviews about them from speaking to people.Yes, that is what I use but the landline broadband is still connected and charged for if I want a landline phone! £36 a month (including calls admittedly plus £32 per month to Airband. I quite like it.Better on BBC is fucking woeful - avoid at all costs. How the directors of Spooks (which was consistently brilliant) have come up with this utter shite is really quite impressive.
It always surprises me when they see a suspect and shout “Oy…STOP” and the suspect ( now pre warned) runs away very quickly! The premise of it is fine and could be very good, but some of the acting and general plot development is so wooden.
You're tailing a suspect who pulls into a petrol station? I know, I'll follow him, park right next to him in the forecourt and then sit in the car and stare directly at him. Righto. Top, top work detective.
It's not in the same ballpark as that David Tennant/Stanley Tucci abomination last year, but it's not far off it. Perhaps I'm being overly harsh as it's followed on from Happy Valley but jeez.
I bet he is. It's the only thing that's irked me about the show.Finished The Gold last night. Apparently Kenneth Noye is 'over the moon' with his depiction as a cheeky chappy rather than a vicious, ruthless gangster
