The Goggle Box Thread

I must start watching that tomorrow
We've been meaning to watch it for years but I was expecting it to be a cross between Juliet Bravo and Heartbeat but far from it. Excellent drama that keeps you gripped, top acting and plenty of well known faces. Can't wait to start on series 3 tomorrow

My Dad absolutely loves it. Might have to get round to it some day

I haven't got round to watching series 2 yet! No spoilers please @Tredman
I'll collect series 3 and watch the lot in a week I suspect.

Started watching The Gold on iPlayer this week. Good stuff. Easy to watch, slick, funny and the set/costume design is spot on.

The new episode of Picard is sooooo good.
I thought it was a very slow and dull start.

I didn't recognise McFadden until she spoke, she's looking that old and different nowadays.

Blackadder special for comic relief apparently, however Richard Curtis says rowan Atkinson not involved. Which might be subterfuge...

Rowan is probably busy sunning it up in his massive house next to Simon Cowells in Barbados and counting his Ferraris

My cousin served him when she worked at Hilton Park, not a nice man quite rude

Edmond Blackadder in other words!

Rowan Atkinson always comes across as one of those guys who is funny as fuck when working but anything but in his private life.

Love Blackadder, not sure how it works without Rowan

Again the last regular episode was 33 years ago. It just isn't going to work.

AND they stopped after 24 episodes (18 if one ignores the ropey first series). Im not counting back and forth and other little specials.

Series 2,3, and 4 (especially 2 which is ahead of Watery Fowls for my favourite sitcom series ever) were perfection. They will never top them. I would prefer they didn't try.

Blackadder II was on British TV before Master of Puppets was available in Our Price (other record stores were available). That's getting on a bit.
