The Goggle Box Thread

Yeah, Broadchurch 2 was pretty awful. A shame as the first one was very good. I can't really see where they can go with it now but will watch it anyway.

Has anyone watched Santa Clarita Diet starring Drew Barrymore?

It's a new sitcom on Netflix about a woman who becomes a zombie and can only feed on human flesh.

I'd never heard of it before Saturday but the girlfriend and I watched the first 5 episodes and it's bloody funny. Literally.

Well worth a watch - a very pleasant surprise!

Yes I agree! Very tongue in cheek! Estate agents at their best lol

Will give that a go.

Half way through Black-ish at the moment, very very funny, and apparently largely based on true events.

Monkman was back today!

He lost. Such a shame.

Anyway, if the first fifteen minutes of Broadchurch 3 are anything to go by, it looks like it will be much more like the original series. Much more like it.

He'll be back!

First part of Broadchurch definitely does look much better.

Recorded Broadchurch to watch Walking Dead. Too much TV on at the moment!

A couple of good things on last night.

The Replacement - psychological drama about a woman who's about to go on maternity leave and basically has her whole life stolen by her replacement (Vicky McClure being evil). Or is it the pregnant woman the mental one?

Catastrophe - still really funny and filthy.

Keep meaning to check out catastrophe.
No idea why, but the male lead reminds me of aikiwolf...

quite good I thought. the acting was great. often I think the build up is better than the ending with some of these. can only hope.

Yeah, you can imagine it all getting a bit bloody and silly by the end. I'd say it'd be better concentrating on the psychological aspects but I'm sure lots of people will have been bumped off by the end of episode 3.

Bit annoyed to see that the next series of The Trip is on Sky Atlantic.

Finished the season - really enjoyed it. Some proper funny moments - definitely recommend it.

Just watched this on iplayer - good, but they should stay with the psychological element.

Throwing random dead bodies in just brings it round to a standard cop drama

Just watched People v OJ Simpson on Netflix. Brilliant TV. Thought David Schwimmer would still be suffering from being majorly typecast but he played Robert Kardashian brilliantly. Cuba Gooding Jnr did ok as OJ but was too small an actor for the lead role.. Loved John Travolta as Robert Shapiro...

We've been watching this for a few days. Up to episode 6 I think. Good fun, and all the characters are great. A bit like Desperate Housewives with added cannibalism so not one of the all-time greats, but entertaining enough and some really laugh-out-loud moments.

Car Share is being repeated on BBC 1 over the next few weeks in the build up to the 2nd series in May. I thought it was pretty funny stuff, more conversational comedy and Peter Kay and Sian Gibson are brilliant.

I really enjoyed Car Share - I look forward to the 2nd series.
