If numerous clubs were announced as being in breach then you could look at the system and a potential for it being unworkable.
What I thinks happened is Forest and Everton have had the mindset “they won’t dare doc us points, it opens a can of worms”
I think Bournemouth will have very sweaty palms next season to.
Only other punishments available is fines, which is nonsensical as the whole point of it is profit and sustainability. Points docking is the only option.
Reality is now Everton will probably just be happy with just getting the points docking they’ve already got.

That’s an idiotic statement from Winter, the original problem is with owner not the Premier league.
Winter would absolutely be the first to criticise the PL if Everton went the way of Pompey.
Love to know his suggestions of punishment, just an angry letter or a detention for Moshiri.
Lives are also affected at clubs cutting the cloth according to.
Winter is the biggest suck up journalist you can get.
Said it before it’s like blaming the police when you get banned from driving for toting up.

I think Evertons double jeopardy line is bollocks, however I also think having points deducted in the same season for 2 seperate offences in different ones isn't fair either.

I think both their and Forest's sanctions should be applied next season as by the time they've had their hearings and appeals the season will be over and I don't think that's how it should end. That's not fair on other clubs as much as them.

Probably not pop but if the takeover falls through then its a scramble to get a new owner or anything that isn't nailed down will have to be sold and then the nailed down stuff followed by the nails as well.

Trust me Winter talking about lives being affected, when a club goes into admin far more lives are affected as opposed to relegation, points deduction etc.
Often it’s people who are not directly employed by the club.
Look at the list of debtors Portsmouth ran up and unpaid businesses to see a real affect on lives.

Forest aren't in any danger of going bust though. Their crime seems to be ambition. Now they were stupid in the way they went about it. I presume they knew about the losses allowed being lower if promoted (I didn't) and obviously should have done, but them being done isn't protecting anyone other than the status quo, the same as Newcastle potentially having to sell a player for £50m to buy another for the same amount that they can spread the FFP hit over, isn't. It's anti competitive.

Everton, a totally different situation.

After actually engaging my brain it would be quite difficult for Everton to go pop. They've got some players who they could sell for decent money plus at least 3 years of parachute payments (they could borrow against). They'll be screwed, but they won't go pop.

Plus their match day income will be ahead of most outside the PL.
