Stupid amounts of people saying we should thank Fosun.

Yeah, spending nearly £90m on Guedes, Fabio, Hoever and Cutrone and appointing Lage, how can I thank you enough?
The only thing to be thankful for is they realised what was coming and acted.

Outside of that, they put us in the position that required the action.
Last summer alone how much did we spend that was a waste - Guedes, Nunes & Collins. Then we had to spend a ridiculous amount in January and whack up the wage bill.

Happy they acted when they did but years of Jeff thinking he was some sort of footballing god nearly put us on the points deduction train.

I’m just looking forward to another of his wacky columns in the express and star

If its once or twice a year let him get on with it.
Just happy he has put someone in charge of the footballing side didn't think he would do that and his ego would tell him he was ace.

A journalist from radio Merseyside claimed on the Monday night club on fivelive that other clubs have been allowed interest payments on loans on infrastructure as an allowable deduction. Surely the independent process would have sorted that fairly quickly? Also tried to spin the line that it’s basically the same period that they were being punished for and during that time they sold Richarlison/Gordon and signed nobody last January. Not buying new players meant that they weren’t seeking an on field advantage so it is all unfair.
Bollocks - your fans have been protesting/complaining about how bad your ownership has been and the club bought a load of shite on over inflated wages that caused the problems for the periods involved. I’m afraid, I have little sympathy for them as someone mentioned earlier a sale of Pickford or DCL would have solved it all.

I think I heard they'd had to take out loans to cover the day to day due to the money required to cover the stadium build.

Agree they could have fixed it during the summer but decided not to.

They spent €78m on players in the summer when they knew the Usmanov tap was turned off.

Want to comply? Don’t sign those players.

Everton crocodile tears because they have been caught can get in the bin

Then they will go into admin. Not liquidation but admin would be unavoidable.

So Everton will now push that narrative to pressure the authorities to accept 777

£142m so far.

That's a lot of players to sell to cover that + interest

If that happens, that could be another 10 pts... so 30pts in one season!

The absolute last thing the PL need or want is to have to go through the process of deducting points in their perfect scenario everyone’s books would abide by the rules.
So the “we’re being victimised “ is utter BS the anger should be firmly directed at the Everton board as should the local and national media.

Everton won't go pop. There's other American investors waiting to see if the 777 deal gets rejected apparently.

This is from the athletic article apparently regarding forest, this is just a sample and its sheer lunacy

"There is the story of Omar Richards, who joined from Bayern Munich without anybody realising he had a fractured leg. Somehow, Richards passed a medical he underwent in Greece. He cost £8.5m and, 18 months on, has not played a single minute for the club."

"
By the time Forest signed Chris Wood and Jonjo Shelvey from Newcastle United last January, they knew the numbers contained all sorts of risks. They went ahead and did it anyway.

Wood signed on loan with a clause in his contract that triggered a £15m deal, on £100,000 a week, as soon as he was named in the matchday squad three times. Shelvey was given a two-and-a-half-year contract on roughly £75,000 a week and, within St James’ Park, the two transfers created something bordering on amazement. Put bluntly, they could not believe Forest thought it was good business."
