United weren't anywhere near their peak then. Around 98/99 when Andy D'Urso ran away from Roy Keane and others after giving a pen would be the worst of how they used to get favoured. They always got more pens than anyone else, guess what, because they attacked more than anyone else.

That era of Arsenal...wonderful team but a) they were also cunts and b) you really could rattle them physically.

Arsenal fans are off the reservation. A lot of them genuinely think there's a 20+ year conspiracy against them from referees and the PL. Some of the stuff after Martinelli's red card at Molineux last season was just....wow. Especially as it was a red card and actually good refereeing for once.

Dunno if this Is the right bit, it’s football related.
One of the coppers from the night of Dalian Atkinsons death is back in court on a retrial for that night, being reported that witnesses saw her repeatedly hit Dalian with her baton, while he was on the ground incapacitated after being tasered three times.
She’s said ‘ she feared for her safety’

Boehly is going to be a pain in the arse until someone puts him back in his box. Now wants an All Star North vs South game, which in American sport is long past its sell buy date, beyond the compliment of being selected

Another American who is very wealthy but doesn't understand how football is structured. I'm sure he'll be advocating the Super League before long

I do find their editorial policy (or lack of) really weird. Must have spent some serious money (cumulatively) on hiring all those people all at once, one for every club. Then they let Temp Spiers and Carl Anka act like complete weirdos and write total shite, with no comeback.

It's not subscription level journalism.

Get the impression Boehly thinks "you have all being doing it all wrong for years."

Fofana when he signed had to head off to New York to have his medical and then fly back, sure Chelsea could have rustled up someone in London to do it, instead of having a played who was fucked for a couple of days after travel and jet lag.

Kevin Doyle was on radio over hear recently, ihe is friendly with one of the backroom staff there, says lot of strange things going on in the background at Chelsea

Boehly was put right back in his box by Klopp and his shall we invite the Harlem globetrotters comment.

The North v South idea is clearly shit and will never happen, but let's be real we'd all watch it

Right then… where do you draw the line? The Trent?

Very funny watching Klopp react to this question.
"He actually asked that question?"
"Let him come and give me a firm date.... I'd like to know when he thinks we could play this!"
"He actually said that....? Interesting!"

It would depend on the teams in the Prem. So currently would be the seven London teams and the three South Coast ones against the rest.

I quite like the way MLS handles its All-Star game: it's a joint venture with Liga MX so we get MLS All-Stars vs. MX All-Stars.

Don't know what league would be most interesting to go against the Prem, though. But it's fun here because the rivalry between the US and Mexico runs deep.

And it's a hell of a lot more interesting than the intra-league All-Star games the other sports use.

BBC have even started a shit article trying to get people to select their line-ups. Someone needs to point out its a FRIENDLY and so clubs won't be obliged to release their players.

BBC and a hundred other football sites have done it.

Just a space filler to attract comments, so I don't think they need a reminder on the rules of game that will never happen.
