This will start unraveling very soon and watch them start blaming each other and pleading innocent and that they were misled.
Do I think we’ll be playing these 6 clubs next season? Yes

Ceferin said yesterday that it's not too late for the six clubs to change their minds; everyone can make a mistake.

No sanction for the first ones to break, increasing sanctions after that.

Divide and conquer. As soon as one club is out, the whole edifice breaks.

Assuming they do pull back then I don't think there will be a sanction. the PL and UEFA will just be relieved

Not sure how easy it will be for clubs to backtrack. As said, contracts have been signed, this isn't just a statement of intent they've done it.
The group have made it very clear that they will be litigious if any sanctions are imposed on the clubs, so would expect them to actively pursue any club that tried to renege?

That’s like me saying to my wife “sorry I shagged that other bird the other night. In hindsight, I probably should have kept Percy in my trousers.”

I’m sure she would accept my apology without batting an eyelid....then remove my genitals.

UEFA are no Saints at all and their Swiss style CL format for 2024 is a car crash idea.

Which was done to appease the clubs who have now fucked off.

I think the Champions League is about in the right place as it is, I enjoy the build up to the knockout stages, which are then my favourite part of the season (as a neutral).

The obsession to add more games (to create more money) is actually just making the product worse in the long run, I think.

Fuck that, they signed a contract - they need to be punished.

As has already been said on here, even we, as individuals, get a 14-day cooling off period.
I haven't seen the contracts so can't comment on their contents but even if they come back to the PL they will be forever tainted.

Will depend on the wording of the contract, there are always termination clauses,

Argument will come we signed up for a 15 club group and now there are only 12, not us who broke the contract.

Heard a French journalist say last night that story was leaked from outside the 12 clubs, so they had to get their statement out quickly, fact is they havent got all their ducks in a row before the whole thing broke.

Pertinent question is who is bankrolling it, JP Morgan are financing it but they are not investing in it, and they wouldnt be financing it for the sums involved unless there was someone with very big pockets behind it, and its not the clubs, doubt Morgan would be trusting them when over half of them have serious financial issues.

From what I have seen JPM will be repaid via the TV rights money. The ESL are expecting a minimum of $4b per year from the main rights holder. I think from that something like $2.3b is split between the clubs, so remove some costings and JPM will be getting a lot back per year

It's far too big. European nights were really special a long time ago. Pricks play each other all the time now.
