I'd say Rio was better but didn't have the same durability (well he isn't playing now is he)

Rio was better at his peak for me too. A complete defender. That's not taking away from Terry who's been an absolutely phenomenal player.

I'd call Rio the better footballer but Terry the better defender, tbh.

Vidic and Rio were an absolutely phenomenal pairing. Terry and Carvalho were something special too.

Nothing like that quality anywhere in the world at the moment.

West Brom v Liverpool.

West Brom have replaced 96 seats in the away end with Red Seats, these seats will not have fans sitting in them and each seat will have the name of those killed at Hillsborough

Wasn't the request to have his community service ended because he has worked in 2 or 3 different places and on each one they have been swamped by Pap's & Journo's, seems a bit off for the media to say he was just saying "I'm to famous for this shit". A fair request but also fair that the judge stating a fine would be meaningless. The curfew is a great swap as he does get to feel some level of punishment. As his teammates are being taken on holidays and piss ups he is sat at home playing FIFA.

Overturned now on appeal and he is free to party away and go abroad. He has to complete his community service later this year.

Came across this and loved the rant...

Tough break for Le Havre last night in the final round of games in Ligue 2. Started the night three points behind Metz in 3rd (three go straight up, no playoffs) and six worse off on goal difference. Metz lost 1-0 at Lens, Le Havre won 5-0 against Bourg-en-Bresse and missed out on goals scored.

Werder Bremen save themselves on the final day with an 88th minute goal from Chelsea legend Papy Djilobodji to beat Frankfurt 1-0 and it's Frankfurt themselves who will now play Nürnberg in the relegation playoff. Stuttgart down along with Hannover.

Just noticed Hertha miss out on the Europa League on the last day. Needed to beat Mainz or see Schalke lose but the latter won 4-1.

How has Pizzaro done at Bremen this season?

Far better than he's got any right to given his age. He's probably been their best player.

Edinburgh City the newest team in the Scottish league. East Stirling saying bye bye and heading off to the Lowland League.
