Loved micks relaxed press conferences

Mick McCarthy on Steve Evans: "He can talk can’t he? He certainly gives his jaw some exercise..I don’t know what else."

It must be a right health risk and difficult getting insurance cover for Evans with his blood pressure soaring during match days.

I'm a bit disappointed that Leeds himself didn't make the most of what was a routine tap-in.

Here's a piece on Ajax player Nicolai Boilesen speaking about his problems, for those who wish to translate..

http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/fodbol...i-topklub-maa-ikke-spise-med-de-andre/5912917

-There is no doubt that I want to play football as soon as possible. But I have no influence on whether something happens here in January. That is why I have also told my agent (Kenny B, eds.), I first must be involved if it is concrete, says B. -I do not want to constantly keep me for something, if it's only speculation. If that does not happen now, something happens to the summer. January is a difficult time to find a new Club. The most important thing is that a switch does not have to be a panic solution, but for the right Club, points out that Nicolai Boilesen.

Norwegian and Danish aren't 1-to-1 copies of each other, obviously, but from what I can make out based on my knowledge of the former, he's basically stating that he feels like Ajax currently aren't helping him advance his career and that he needs to move on, but that he is going to make sure that wherever he moves is the right fit that will help him grow as a player.

I quite like the idea of a draft.

Not sure on there idea of it though, sounds like they're letting lower league clubs have the pick of SPL academy drop outs? Seems like the sort of thing that generally tends to happen anyway as people fail to meet the mark and trickle down the leagues.

Mascherano sentenced to 1 year in prison for Tax Fraud.

Will avoid going into Prison though as he will pay a fine of around £625,000 to avoid it. (Sentences for under 2 years in Spain can be avoided by paying a fine as long as the crime isn't a violent one apparently)

Bolton Wanderers' coaches are using their own money to help pay administrative staff at the financially troubled club, says boss Neil Lennon.
Around 300 staff based at Bolton's Macron Stadium and their two training grounds have not been paid this month.
"I've got staff who are struggling to make ends meet," said 44-year-old former Celtic manager Lennon.
"That's not a great scenario so some of us are having a whip round for a few of them just to keep them on board."

A great gesture. I may not like Bolton but surely there is a way of paying your administrative staff? The PFA will step in to help the players so it is kind of the likes of Lennon and others to help them.

I went to Luis Garcia's debut game for Central Coast Mariners yesterday evening. The standard in the A League is bottom Champ/top League 1 still though.

FIFA talking about 'guaranteed' Champions League places for the 'big' clubs (Chelsea, AC Milan, etc). What a fucking farce.

Already looking for a way to prevent Leicester City joining their elite gathering.

Well I'm pleased all the nutjob ideas have stopped now Blatter and Platini are out of the way.

Well they have always wanted their own private little league - how long before someone goes back to the suggestion of 'no relegation from the Premier League'

Jagielka asked Martin Atkinson what he thought of the 2nd Citeh goal last night and the ball being out.
Atkinson told Jagielka his defending was brilliant.

Sarcastic toss pot.

Atkinson also gave a foul throw before a throw had even been took.
