It'll be Messi won't it? Hasn't won it for a few years, got the CL, maybe Neymar will take second from Ron as well.

Yeah it will be Messi. Treble with Barca and a Copa America final.

I'd like to see Neymar get it personally, as much as I used to hate him I think he's improved incredibly at Barca and scored some really important goals for them in the CL last season but I think the differing fortunes of Brazil and Argentina at the Copa America may decide things even though Messi didn't have a great tournament and has missed a decent chunk of the domestic season too.

Bolton Wanderers could be going into administration this week. I presume that would mean they would be deducted twelve points.

I wonder if we'll wheel out members of our 94/95 squad to revel in it when they come to Molineux twenty years later. Horrible shower of cunts, I'd never wish a club to cease to exist but them doing a Stockport would suffice.

Pique was brilliant last year. Back to his very best.

Indeed, they need to raise some money by the end of the week or face administration. So anyone they can sell, they probably will.

It's grimmer than that, they need the money so that they can pay the administrators once the inevitable happens. The sums the likes of Andronikou have taken out of stricken clubs are eye-watering, even the non-bent administrators are very expensive. When Rangers got liquidated they owed £3m to Duff and Phelps.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract. Sheffield Wednesday obviously keeping Bannan on relative terms to the other high earners they are adding at the moment. If Sheffield fail to get promotion it could all go tits up.

Bolton Wanderers takeover imminent.

The seemingly never-ending Bolton Wanderers takeover saga could be 48 hours from completion, according to our source who informed us about this.

Our source tells us that the Sports Shield consortium are in talks to complete the Share Purchase Agreement - a definitive agreement that finalises all terms and conditions related to the purchase and sale of the shares of a company.

They expect to complete a deal for the club over the weekend.

Mick McCarthy on Steve Evans: "He can talk can’t he? He certainly gives his jaw some exercise..I don’t know what else."
