Which of the Manchester clubs were the first to use the sailed barge? I'm no football historian, but it's an image I've always associated with United?

Ed Balls named as chairman at Norwich

Apparently Ivan Rakitic has said he wouldn't want a homosexual player as his teammate.

Further to the Chelsea sheet writer on the previous page, here is someone making his own scarfs

So just how do you spell United?

LVG has said tonight that he will not be stepping down as manager of Manchester United.

Leeds have banned sky sports cameras from Elland Road in protest at being on so much and to 'protect attendances'. They will fulfill the fixture but it doesn't look like it will be filmed.

Interesting to see what sanctions they are hit with if they carry out the threat.

Well they are fulfilling the fixture so I am not sure what they are in line for, bar not receiving the payment for that match. Looks quite an elegant solution to me.

It will be more than loss of the fee or every club will just tell Sky to piss off.

Possibly. Although the points loss threat was always there over not fulfilling the fixture. That won't happen but sky will not be allowed in. I think it is brilliant and if leeds don't get hit hard I can see derby and ourselves doing exactly the same thing when we are on at home. It would mean only away matches being televised for the three that are on the most.

Or would Sky just keep picking your games so they get moved, even if they're banned from filming them, just to prove a point?

I believe that Leeds will be in breach of Football league regulations if they do not allow the cameras in. They can expect to be facing a hefty fone.

Great stuff, Ive been waiting for some club to stand up to the TV channels for many a year. Its a first step towards giving the game back to the fans in the ground, Saturday kick offs at 3 o clock. The Leeds owner does have something positive to offer the game.

Harsh punishment indeed:
