Harry Kane and Ronnie Pickering :icon_biggrin:

Ched Evans rape conviction has been refered to the Court of Appeal following new evidence that wasn't revealed in his original case and that puts his conviction in doubt...

You may have heard the amusing remark that Roy Keane made when Robbie Keane turned up a day late for Ireland's training, (something along the lines of...)
To the statement that his wife has just given birth to their 2nd child, "What difference does that make to him? It was HIM that had the baby was it?"
There then followed a retort along the lines of, "I expect all players to report on time unless they're breastfeeding". (See below)
To which Robbie Keane replied to a room packed with reporters, "He'd know more about these matters.... he's got bigger tits than me."

Not bad.
I do like a bit of humour at a press conference.

(Keane the player was with his wife on Monday night as she gave birth in Los Angeles, and Keane the assistant manager explained he expected the player to be ready for the Euro 2016 qualifier in Dublin 'unless he was breastfeeding'. For those who can't quite understand Ireland's top scorer, he explained his boss would know more about those matter because "he's got bigger tits than me".)

Southampton 62 million in debt but moving forward with massive growth.

SAINTS have reported an annual profit for the second consecutive year, after revealing their 2014/15 financial results.

The St Mary's Football Group produced a £12m profit in the period up to June 30, building on the £33.4m they turned in 2013/14 - which was the first time since 2005 the club had not disclosed a loss.

The wages to turnover ratio now stands at 63.4 per cent, up from 59.3 per cent, while operating costs to turnover comes in at 85.5 per cent.

The club has also seen its debt position increase, however, to about £62m, but the majority of that is owed to owner Katharina Liebherr, rather than outside parties, with the board confident that figure has now peaked and will be reduced in the coming years.

£12.5k for winning the 4th Qualifying round so the extra gate fees might make up for them getting knocked out.

IMO its a bum draw for them as the main prize is reaching the 1st round proper.

I expect a ban from the tournament, £80m in fines and a warning that if we fail to continue to support Platini's bid to become president then we will be expelled from all football forever.

Well done to Sporting Khalsa victory after a replay last night.

Spalding United 1-2 Sporting Khalsa.

I believe that they are now the lowest ranked team left in the competition. Home to Buxton or FC United of Manchester in the next round.

Big trouble at Northampton. HMRC have issued a winding up petition and today is also the deadline for them repaying a £10.25m loan to the council. The loan was issued for building a new stand and a hotel/conference centre, the stand hasn't been finished (or anywhere near) and the rest not even started - but the money seems to have gone. Very dodgy.

No luck for Jürgen early on at Anfield - Joe Gomez and Danny Ings both out for the season.
